Summary: All a gamer need is a high dpi mouse. The higher the dpi (dots per inch), the more precise is the mouse. For example, if you have a mouse with 800 dpi and 4 level of sensitivity, and 1600 dpi with 2 levels of sensitivity, both will work the same but later will be more precise. So 6000 dpi guarantees very high precision. It also has high 12000 fps tracking means you will be able to use your mouse more abruptly.
Summary: Chose this mouse as a replacement for my previous mouse (Microsoft Sidewinder X5) on the strength of the specification and reviews. Unfortunately I found the build quality of this mouse quite lacking. It feels very cheap and plasticky, and there are several sharp seams between the body parts. I found the angle of the mouse wheel quite strange to use, and the left tilt button on the wheel is much easier to activate than the right; almost too easy in fact.
