Gigabyte GM-M8000 Gaming Mouse

28 July 2014
  • Excerpt: The GM-M8000 from Gigabyte is the newest gaming mouse to hit the market. Nicknamed the Ghost, the M8000 is aimed at the gamer that wants it all: performance, precision and speed. The Ghost offers an industry highest 4000 DPI. Of course, DPI of this nature and speed is not one for the weak.

Gigabyte Ghost GM-M8000X Laser Gaming Mouse Review

13 September 2009
  • Summary: Gigabyte's Ghost M8000X is an infrared laser mouse, so there is no red light LED glowing below. Instead, you'll find a nine button performance mouse built for competitive gaming around a 6000 DPI laser sensor with on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment and a high 1000 reports/second USB polling rate.

GIGABYTE GM-M8000 High-Performance Laser Gaming Mouse Review

9 June 2009
  • Summary: Mouse design seems like a pretty trivial thing until you're about 15 minutes in to a game. This is a lesson that we hope that Microsoft learns from their rather uncomfortable Microsoft Sidewinder Mice .
  • Pros: Aggressive, yet comfortable shape, Rubber grips and Teflon Pads for control, Programmable Buttons, GHOST Software with lots of options, On-the-Fly DPI, 4000 DPI when you need it, Mouse weights if you need them
  • Cons: Doesn't have a unique shape, Needs a theme that says: GAMER!

  • Conclusion: Performance with the Gigabyte GM-M8000X is near-perfection. The mouse answers to the smallest, minimal movement. Accuracy and precision is something this mouse won´t ever lack. There is no stuttering in any conditions, and the laser will work in almost every surface you throw at it.

Gigabyte GM-M8000 Ghost Mouse

7 May 2009
  • Conclusion: The GM-M8000 mouse performed very well during testing and general use. The thing that makes this mouse stand out, is the ease of use, the ability to to add weights to custom tailor this mouse to our personal needs, and the visual representation of the DPI setting that the mouse is using at that...

Gigabyte Ghost GM-M8000 Gaming Mouse Review

Hardware Canucks
26 February 2010
  • Conclusion: As you could tell throughout this review, we thoroughly enjoyed testing, using and all around torturing the Gigabyte GM-M8000 mouse. When we first heard that we were going to be reviewing it, we admit there were some hesitations.
  • Pros: - Comfortable, - on the fly DPI change, - sub 1ms polling rate, - 4000DPI sensor, - 3 onboard profiles, - 4 built in sensitivity settings, - Horizontal and Vertical Scroll, - No software required to USE the 3 onboard profiles, - Lightweight software interface program, - Powerful customizations op...
  • Cons: - Horizontal Scrolling requires software to be installed, - Weights only come in 2 sizes (really need a third, 3gram size), - Slippery left and right buttons, - Wheel did develop a squeal later on, - Polling rate is NOT set to 1000Hz “out of the box”, - only 3 profiles can be stored in onboard me...
