After trying other ergonomic mice, this one works for my carpal tunnel.
7 February 2015
Summary: After trying several mice this one is by far the best for my carpal tunnel. I've only started to feel some numbness in my wrist and decided I have to get on it now. I didn't want to spend the money on this mouse but after trying 3 other cheaper ones finally gave in and purchased. I've been very happy with it and has helped keep the numbness minimal to none.
Summary: I'm still getting used to this mouse. I've been using a flat one for so long, I need to give this one time. I really like it though. I really like the 3rd button for the fingers section on the vertical. I work in CAD and set that button up to be F8. I also got the Kinesis Corporation KB800PB-US-20. I have broad shoulders and was having nerve pain down my left arm and some issues with my right hand. Using this with the keyboard has reduced those issues greatly.

Summary: Fantastic mouse! After my hand started bugging me and gradually got more painful while using a Logitech M570 trackball mouse, which was a big improvement over a typical office mouse. First I bought a Handshoe mouse, but that still requires the hand to lay horizontally and isn't much different than a traditional mouse to me. Returned it for an Evoluent 4.
As soon as I opened the box I was overjoyed to see ONE BATTERY

Summary: I ordered this mouse looking for something - anything - that would fix my wrist pain. Working on the computer for hours and hours a day, during really busy times of the year I would notice significant wrist pain that only increased every time of the year it returned and would take longer to go away. I immediately foresaw long term injuries that would prevent my from working at all and knew I needed to change something. This mouse immediately took away all the pain.
Summary: Because of carpal tunnel issues that have been causing a lot of pain over the past few months, I decided to give this mouse a shot after reading positive reviews and from the recommendation of a hand/physical therapist. Best $100 I ever spent. The relief of having an ergonomic split keyboard is nothing if you don't have a comfortable mouse to go with it. I was able to use this mouse while in a hand splint, and it was very easy and fast to get used to.
Summary: Absolutely love it. Its been 3 weeks since I moved over from a traditional mouse to the vertical mouse and my severe thumb pain has vanished. The vertical mouse is not too inconvenient to handle once you get used to it. Took me about a week to get used to it. Left click and scroll wheel are conveniently located and easy to get used to. Right clicking still needs a conscious effort.
The hand shake position that a vertical mouse requires seems to be a logically superior ergonomic design

Summary: Was starting to have some pain in my upper hand area next to wrist, so decided to give this a try. It worked, pain disappeared and has not returned. The hand shake position that a vertical mouse requires seems to be a logically superior ergonomic design, and after 4 months of use, the results are very favorable for me. And specifically, this particular model seems to be of high quality and offers a nice feature set.
Summary: I'm pretty amazed by this mouse. It's not at all what I had pictured it would be. I assumed it would be big and bulky, but it's not. At first, I thought they had sent me the small version by mistake. I started getting pains in my hand and wrist both working and gaming. This mouse was so comfortable right out of the box and I have yet to notice any pain (except switching back to my keyboard). It didn't take long to get use to the feel of it.
