Summary: I have an all new build that i spent over 9 grand on in total, and i may have gotten lucky or unlucky by having problems with only 2 things; my raid card and this mouse. My problems with this mouse include the battery dying in the middle of games of league of legends or really any online game. As well as the battery not making proper connection (thats my guess because removing and putting the battery back in fixes it.) and not powering the laser to actually work.
Pros: great feel, great customizability, nice buttons
Cons: no spot to see battery life other than in driver, random issues.
Summary: Love the customizability of almost everything on the mouse itself. Bigger hands or smaller hands or whatever you need for your style of grip. Weights are great to add or reduce the amount of weight you normally like for gaming. The head shot button is great for cutting the dpi in half so you can get those kils quickly. My concerns are the huge price for the item and the short time the battery lasts.
Pros: Love the changable grips and positions for the thumb, palm rest and pinky. Changeable weights are also nice, if you want a different feel.
Cons: Expensive and batteries don't last as long as you might like.
Pros: The product does boast large amounts of customizable features and does prove very useful for gamers who need buttons hotkeyed to awkward areas.
Cons: The mouse has buttons all over the place. When creating a mouse for gaming you need a simplistic design so that the gamer doesn't get confused in the purpose of all the buttons. Also the weights were hard to adjust and the software wasn't functional.
Summary: Coolest looking mouse ever. Functions very well, and the "headshot" button is awesome for FPS games. Despite the customizable features, I find this mouse terribly uncomfortable for a palm grip. Finger/claw grip is fine. Also, There is no horizontal scroll in the middle wheel. You have to make a macro for the thumbwheel to scroll sideways :( If you want it for the looks, get it. If you want a comfortable mouse, get a Sidewinder X8, RAZER etc.
Pros: Looks awesome., "headshot" button, very smooth
Cons: Battery life is brutal, Thumb buttons are somewhat uncomfortable, Non replaceable feet, Software is terrible
Summary: It is a good mouse, it's solid, it's highly customisable and the programming software is relatively easy to use. It gets 3 stars because my previous Logitech mouse is way more precise and nicer to handle. Logitech appears flimsy and cheap but you never have to think about it; this instead is an hindrance at times. Often the mouse pointer won't follow where I want it to go. For the quality of the kit it's value for money, but for the usability it's just average.
6 month long term test - good mouse with serious flaws
2 October 2012
Summary: I purchased a mini steelseries mat to accompany this mouse and have not sufffered any tracking issues at all. The additional software is easy to install and use which together with the various physical adjustments that can be made make this a very adaptable mouse. I suffer from hand cramp very easily but have had no problems moving to this mouse once I had taken the time to adapt it properly. So why only three stars? There are some serious design flaws.
