Summary: Pros: Up to 5700 DPI and 1000Hz polling. These are the most important features for a gaming mouse, everything else is preferential. I like the left and right click on this mouse; short travel and just enough tactile feedback to avoid friendly fire incidents. The finish feels nice even after hours of gaming and doesn't absorb palm sweat. All the buttons can be mapped to keyboard keys except the sniper button.
Summary: Im a MMO gamer and not really a first person shooter gamer either. STO, SWTOR and GW2 are my main games. That said I would like to use the progammable red "sniper" button for some functions but I can't get it to do anything. I have downloaded and installed both the firmware update and the software/driver. I also bought the K90 keyboard which I give 5 stars in another review.
Summary: Starting with the hardware: the build quality seems to be quite good, and clicks feel very clear and clean without requiring too much force for actuation. The shape, however, is just not quite right for my tastes. I can't seem to find a way to comfortably hold it. There's always a corner digging into my palm, or I can't get my thumb in a place where it can reach the buttons. Maybe I have freakishly long thumbs or something. Now the software...
Pros: Nice aesthetics, Good price, Solid construction, Scrolling is smooth and accurate, Teflon pads are superb, and seem durable so far as well, High quality braided cord (that isn't too stiff)
Cons: Button placement is not ideal, Adjustable weights don't allow for much fine-tuning, Scroll wheel requires too much force to depress (for my taste), Corsair Vengeance software is horrible
Summary: good quality, but doesnt feel natural in my hand, sniping button useless, your thumb will start to hurt after awhile, not well support. avoid if looking for a ergonomic mouse and playing for more than 2h This review was modfied by poster @ 09-07-13 08:24 AM
Pros: good build quality, nice function
Cons: doesnt feel natural in my hand, sniper button is useless and bothers me, overall not made for long period of gaming
Summary: Got this mouse based on reviews, its quality and price is great ($50), love the mouse wheel and you can macro the sniper button but requires googling. Biggest issue for me is with big hands the lack of a cover on the right side makes my hand be on the line the entire time which is annoying, other then that great mouse.
Pros: Price, Build Quality
Cons: Macro software, Lack of cover for right side
Summary: ** Info as of 2/10/13 Still 3 stars but for different reasons. A couple of weeks ago IE started to scroll "on its own". A week later it became clear that the mouse wheel was reporting use when there was none and none when there was some. Tried blowing it clean . . . no change, the scroll wheel was no longer functional. Emailed Corsair and they said to file for an RMA.
Summary: Great product feels great to use but when I was taking a screw out of the bottom it's mount or whatever it screws into came out... Not i am not able to use the weights.. Other than that I love the mouse!!!
