Logitech Cordless Wheel Mouse
14 February 2002
Summary: This is a great mouse ! After you get one of these you won't go back to the ones with cords. It was very easy to set up --- I did it myself and I am a complete novice. The batteries inside ( it takes 2 aaa batteries ) last a long time. I have had this product for probably 2+ years and have only had to replace them once - and I do a lot of clicking. There is a a 3x2 inch box that comes with it which connects into your computer that provides the power.
Excerpt: I was really pleased with this when I first got it. I love the idea of a cordless mouse, as I am left-handed and everyone else in my family is right handed so I was always moving wires round the back of the monitor to get the thing in the right position for me to use at the family desktop. So seeing this for under £20 in PC World - I had to buy. Liked it so much at home, I bought one to use at work too. THINGS I LIKE ABOUT IT: 1. It is cordless. 2.
Pros: Quick, easy to use, good features, not expensive
Excerpt: I used to have a dodgy little two-buttoned beige affair. In fact I vividly remember the days where scrolling was a drab chore of clicking and dragging over and over again until my arm fell off. Almost. To add to that, I feel we'll agree that there's simply nothing as annoying as a sticky-balled mouse.
Excerpt: I’ve just bought myself a new mouse, I broke mine last night while I was in a bit of a temper with the poor old PC, so decided I had to get myself a new one instead of putting up with the numerous spares I have lying around the loft floor (yes our lofts got a floor, wow!). My old mouse had done me proud, well as proud as a mouse can do someone for a good 3 years so decided to stick with the Logitech name, plus, as you’ll have noticed if you read my keyboard opinion, I...
Excerpt: Biscuit crumbs, coffee from bottom of cup, sweaty hand marks, well, just dirt in general.. isnt it terrible.. especially when your trying to roll a ballbaring covered in plastic over it. Not any more! I purchased this mouse just for the sake of it really. I had the cash, and this mouse oozed with desighn and novelty.. but oh how much was it hiding! The first thing I noticed was how smooth the mouse worked..
Excerpt: Firstly, lets start with the details of this product. The tag line for this product is "Easy scrolling with cordless freedom". * There is no cord to slow you down * Innovative wheel for easy scrolling * Designed to fit right or left hand This product enables you to stop struggling with mouse cords that catch, tangle and limit your movement.
Excerpt: This mouse is superb, I defenitly recommend it. The optical mouse provides smoother handling and no problems with having to clean out the mouse ball area every 5 minutes as with a normal ball mouse. It also seems to provide a smooth cursor movement on screen, I assume this is because of a very fast refresh rate. Another advantage is there is no need for a mouse mat and you can use the mouse on almost any surface. Now for the bad points.
Excerpt: Why buy an Optical mouse, and in particular why buy the Logitech wheel Mouse? One of the perennial problems with normal ‘ball type’ mice is that with constant use, the little rollers which are in contact with the ball gather a grey ring of detritus. It can be hard to remove, and eventually if not cleaned will make the pointer seem to stand still or skip wildly, whilst your hand in trying to get it going properly performs a series of movements across the mouse pad like an...
Excerpt: This is one of the best products you can add to your computer system, the Logitech cordless wheel mouse. The strong points are no cord, Logitech quality and probably the best mouse company any where. Easy to hook up, just plug the corded receiver into the same serial port as the old mouse. Keep the receiver 8 inches away from the computer, I have mine hidden on a shelf. You can use the cordless mouse about 6 feet from the receiver.
Excerpt: I bought this optical mouse 3 months ago. I did tit because of the advantage of using it on virtually any surface but it came out better than I expected from it. Sometimes you have to use your laptop in strange conditions and or maybe you don't have your mouse pad with you, with this mouse you can forget these problems. But most of all it is the lightest mouse I've ever used and this is not a second factor for all of us working on a PC up to eight hours a day.
