  • Conclusion: After testing this mouse for a few days I feel comfortable giving it a rating, as the mouse performs great. We got an average 900HZ from Mouse rate tester, which is plenty for gaming and normal use. I think this mouse has a market with females or gamers on the go, it doesn’t weigh much so it’s a good mouse to have during your travels. If you prefer heavier mice during gaming though this will not be something for you.

CM Storm Xornet Optical Gaming Mouse

Benchmark Reviews
30 December 2011
  • Conclusion: Not everyone expects a mouse to deliver everything including the kitchen sink, but it's nice to know Cooler Master has touched on the most important functions with their CM Storm Xornet mouse. This gaming mouse performs exceptionally well, and aside from a few missing premium features such as a free-spinning scroll wheel and button assignment software, the Xornet really performs quite nicely.
  • Pros: Excellent functionality for a value-priced mouse, Omron micro-switches guaranteed for 5,000,000 clicks, 2000 DPI / 2600 FPS optical sensor, 1000 Hz / 1.0 ms USB 2.0 polling rate, Teflon feet glide effortlessly over gaming surfaces
  • Cons: No macro software or keybind instructions

Cooler Master Xornet gaming mouse

19 December 2011
  • Conclusion: This is a mouse that for its price tag, is quite impressive. It’s got a nice comfortable feel, good accuracy as well as being fast and sensitive, but it’s build quality erks me. You can tell this is a budget product when you use it and that’s annoying. Personally I like a little more sensitivity too. Nothing crazy, but 2,000 feels very old school when there are 5,000+ devices available now.
  • Pros: Good sensitivity, Accurate, Comfortable for the most part, Looks unique
  • Cons: Could do with having a slightly higher DPI, Annoying clickety clack frame conveys budget feel, No software remap for side buttons, Some perspiration build up on the main body

CM Storm Xornet Review

14 December 2011
  • Excerpt: We've often commented here at OC3D at how mice are most definitely split into two camps. There are your generic 2 or 3 button jobs that come with a prebuilt PC from your local emporium and cost about £2, and gaming mice which tend to be stacked to the gills with bells and whistles and cost anything up to £100+.

Tom's Hardware Guide
28 June 2012

Test: CM Storm Xornet Mouse

Expert Review

20 January 2012
