User Review

BENJAMIN W., Newegg
8 April 2015
  • Summary: I spent $35 on this mouse a year ago. Pretty disappointed with it but it was cheap. I cant believe its $120 now. Definitely look for a different mouse.
  • Pros: Decent sensor. 5 dpi cycles, 5 profiles.
  • Cons: Software is pretty awful. left+right click is super muddy.

Broke button, unusable mouse

Stanley S., Newegg
1 October 2014
  • Summary: Unfortunately, I was a couple months out of warranty when it broke.
  • Pros: Generally worked well before it broke. Good customization options.
  • Cons: One of the side buttons broke after minimal use. I had just started using one of the side buttons for Diablo 3. The button broke after maybe 10 hours or so of play. I had never used it in any games or applications before then. The entire mouse is now unusable as the button is permanently pressed....

  • Summary: i will keep it short and simple good: software - dpi settings - reprogrammable buttons bad: button placement!!! - weight distribution - mouse form broken: the right-click broke. it now takes far too much force for it to register a click! ugh. i would not recommend for gamers

Not really that good. Had potential but CM provides no online support for storm tactics. Can't recommend it.

Blaze Randazzo, Amazon

  • Summary: My first gaming mouse. Imagine you have to be a first time mouse buyer to consider getting this one. I bought this mouse because I initially thought more buttons=better. If you read the bottom of my review, you'll find out that is absolutely not the case.

Provides basic function, not for gaming at all

Brandon K., Newegg
15 October 2013
  • Summary: Self-tracking: The mouse's lense is VERY picky about the cleanliness of it and the surface it is on. Definetely would not buy another
  • Pros: -Gear-shifting for higher DPI needs -Nice LED lights
  • Cons: -A LOT of tracking -Fairly large size so most will feel it is too big

Known problem with this mouse

Adamus, Amazon
10 August 2013
  • Summary: I wanted this mouse to work, I generally liked it, but it has reliability issues. The first one I had; I broke the right-click. I replaced it with another, eventually the mouse stopped loading on bootup so I would have to unplug and replug the mouse every time I booted up, that got old after a few...

Great button placement but terrible product

Brett M., Newegg
27 February 2013
  • Summary: Just a total waste of my time and my money. A mouse shouldn't be giving off a distracting noise. I'm glad for RMA refunds.
  • Pros: Very good button placement. High number of buttons.
  • Cons: Makes a metallic rattle sound when moved. It sounds like something is loose in side the casing. Extremely distracting and annoying.

Great if you get it for free, but otherwise...

Jason L., Newegg
20 January 2012
  • Summary: I got this mouse for free, and for a free mouse it's great. I would not recommend it to anyone picky, though, and I definitely wouldn't pay much for it. Harsh, I know, but true.
  • Pros: - Looks nice - Colored LEDs would legitimately be useful for swapping through settings profiles (I personally don't use multiple profiles, but I could see why someone else might).
  • Cons: - Long, slightly mushy clicking - This is a light mouse, with odd weight distribution. - Inconvenient button placement (buttons at the front of the mouse are very far to the sides, meaning they aren't easy to use for gaming) - Software is terrible—it's hard to figure out how to set things up corr...

WIZARD

Mike S., Newegg
19 January 2012
  • Summary: Ok the software is pretty weak. You can't really do what you want, and although they claim it stores settings on the mouse, which it did seam to hold my button assignments, I really wonder if it is storing the polling HZ setting like 1000hz, without the software starting with windows.
  • Pros: Actually pretty good construction. Nice feel, alittle small, alittle light , kinda cheap feeling, but the buttons on the side felt ok.
  • Cons: The main button I was interest in, called the tactical this button is located farthest back on the left side. this button, cannot be remapped as you would think. It has to be used in a combination fashion with other assigned buttons for various actions, maybe ok for some games, casting spells pul...

Not going to use it

Mark B., Newegg
3 September 2011
  • Pros: Works okay.
  • Cons: The ergonomics for me makes it just unusable. It literally hurts my pinky to use this mouse. Also the mouse is quite heavy compared to others I've used. Combine that with the shape and you have a mouse that you cant pick up comfortably.
