Summary: This mouse lasted a very long time. It finally gave out after about 2 years, which was fine because I was looking into other mice when it did. It started disconnecting from my computer on occasion. I liked that you could change the color of the LEDs and the picture on the little screen. The metal part did become discolored after about a year. This mouse doesn't have a ton of buttons which is one of my few complaints.
Summary: Everything about this gaming mouse is perfect except for one thing. There is a design flaw. The top is made of metal and that's a terrible idea. Obviously your hand is going to sweat, and humidity from my hand made the top rust. That's right, it actually rusts. Also "CM STORM" that is written on the side of the mouse will fade over time. However, I will fix the rusting problem easily by applying black antirust paint on it.
Summary: I got this mouse with my new keyboard upwards of two years ago. Some months after I bought it, the left click wore out and lost all resistance - FPS games left my teammates filled with friendly fire holes. After cannibalizing a click-open ball point pen and cutting down its spring, I managed to give the mouse more resistance again. It finally broke a few days ago. Honestly, I'm pleased with how long it lasted.
Summary: If you want to see a list of all the great things about this mouse you can read David Tran's review of this product. I'm just here to say it is ultra comfortable and if you game a lot the programmable options are great for switching between genres of games and getting the exact type of control you need for each. I rated the mouse 4 stars because the rubber coating peels off after normal use.
Summary: My Sentinel came free with a Sniper Storm case purchase. It sat in a box for months cause I figured it was not that great being free and all. I finally hooked it up and after a few weeks of use this mouse has become one of my favorites. Pros: Ergonomics are nearly perfect for my medium sized male hands (right hand only) Buttons and curves are in just the right spot. Firm pressure to make the middle wheel click.
Summary: This is my initial impression review of this mouse. It is replacing a Razer Deathadder, which failed far too soon. So I can directly compare them here. I liked the grip on the Deathadder better than the the Sentinel. The palm grip was larger on the Razer, it felt easier to use. Finish - I like the finish on the Sentinel, it doesn't mark easily nor show finger prints. Both were issues on the Deathadder.
Summary: I'm THE gaming mouse guy people talk to before buying theirs and I'm saying this mouse owns. First requirement for a gaming mouse is comfort, as in how does it feels to hold and is it easy to move around in game, and this mouse is off the chart for comfort. Smooth and curvy in an ergonomic way, weight system let you customize the heaviness, it fits your palm so well that it's actually hard to grip and pick up in intense games.
