Works great if your computer is not ADP2 compliant
21 October 2013
Summary: My dell e1405 is 6 or 7 years old and has bluetooth but not ADP2 compliant bluetooth. This little guy works great to transfer files, streaming music and whatever else you need via bluetooth. A little tricky setup and confusion between the internal bluetooth of my computer and this item, but once you get the naming convention it's easy.
Summary: The only downside is that it is about as bit as this picture, perhaps even a bit smaller. This means it is also easily misplaced or "lost", by virtue of not being easily seen. Other than that, it is a great little device.
Summary: Bought this for a machine running windows XP tablet edition. It installed quickly and easily, and I've had no problems pairing devices to it. There are also no issues with signal loss and the range is great.
Summary: The main issue is that it does not support HID-proxy. Also Apple Bluetooth Wireless Keyboard doesn't seems to work with this dongle, but this is may be because of old widcomm drivers that were in on a drivers CD.
Worked only after establishing virtual serial ports
3 May 2013
Summary: A compact size and efficiently functioning device! To make it work for the Palm handheld device connected to the computer running on Windows 7 (64-bit), I had to download extra free virtual serial ports software from internet site in addition to the installation of the bluetooth adapter software program that came with the package. Then it worked okay cable-free within 30-ft range.
Got a laptop or desktop without bluetooth - BOOM! you got bluetooth

Summary: I used this with my desktop to limit the amount of wires running out of my machine. It worked flawlessly and gave me bluetooth to hook up my bluetooth keyboard and bluetooth mouse. Great product.
