Apple Magic Mouse

The Apple Magic Mouse is a multi-touch mouse with point-and-click technology that lets users click and double-click anywhere on its Multi-Touch surface. The mouse functions as a two-button mouse when users enable Secondary Click in System Preferences. Left-handed users can actually set up their left and right click, as well. By brushing one finger along the Multi-Touch surface, users can scroll in any direction and pan a full 360 degrees. The mouse also users to enlarge items on screen by holding down the Control key on the keyboard and scrolling with one finger on Magic Mouse. The two-finger swipe (left or right) movement lets users advance through pages in Safari or browse photos in iPhoto. All these inputs can be customized according to user’s preference in the Magic Mouse preference pane in System Preferences to enable or disable features. The ambidextrous design of Magic Mouse facilitates users regardless if they are left handed or right handed. The mouse requires a system with Bluetooth support, Mac OS X v10.5.8 or later with Wireless Mouse Software Update 1.0 and existing keyboard and mouse for setup.

The Magic Mouse features a chip within its casing and supports a Laser-Tracking Engine that tracks on nearly every surface without the need for a mousepad. The Magic Mouse connects wirelessly to a Mac via Bluetooth, eliminating the need for wired connectivity, up to 33 feet away. It also features an on/off switch that helps conserve battery power while Magic Mouse is tucked in a bag.
