Good Deal

Gary W., Newegg
16 September 2012
  • Summary: Love Newegg and their great service and hassle free RMA policies............
  • Pros: Great deal on this little gem. Worked for everything I used it for so far. It will go into a phone next. I can't believe how small these things are getting with larger and larger capacities.
  • Cons: Very small and easily lost. Keep these away from small children. Heck I almost inhaled one!

Product works well, poor adapter design

Brendon C., Newegg
5 September 2011
  • Pros: This memory card worked well.
  • Cons: The card slot on my laptop is such that only the bottom of the SD card/adapter is exposed to grip and remove from the slot. On the SD adapter included with this MicroSD card, there are no grooves on the bottom side to grip to pull the card out. I had to use some small pliers to remove the card. They could have added the small plastic ridges that are on top of the card to the bottom side also to fix this issue.

Transcend 8GB Micro SDHC Flash

Alfred M., Newegg
9 May 2011
  • Summary: If the item was sent in an envelope, I would have had in before the weekend. But it has been on a grand tour of the Southeast. It is currently in GA from Memphis.
  • Pros: I am sure it will be great when it arrives.
  • Cons: none

Upgrade for DroidX

Thomas C., Newegg
20 April 2011
  • Summary: Seems like a great product so far, may even get one for a ready boost drive after I upgrade to DDR3 Ram, and an AM3 Mobo on my system.
  • Pros: Good price, especially for an 8gb card. Bout a third of what it would of cost at retail. Read transfer seems good over USB connection through the phone averaging 10-15 MB/s. Results from SD Tools for android while installed in phone. Write speed:14.0 MB/s Read Speed: 17.8 MB/s So what this actually is is a Class 6 100x card.
  • Cons: Write speeds via USB through the phone have been less than rated, averaging 3-5MB/s. This may be due to USB ports being older (k9a2 Plat), or a driver issue. Have been unable to get the card to read via card reader on PC. Not a con on the card itself otherwise. But, I got a lot of fail sauce on the shipping of this product from Newegg. I live in east Texas, and even though they have 2 other distribution centers much closer, they shipped from NJ on a 3 day guaranteed g...

Thinking of installing Nookie Froyo on this?

Joseph R., Newegg
27 March 2011
  • Summary: If your thinking of which SD card should i use for my nook color to root and boot froyo//cm7//honeycomb from, look no further. I've used a few cards but none have performed consistently at a satisfactory level like this one has. I've overclocked my nook to 1.1ghz and it compliments//synergies well with this particular micro SD.
  • Pros: Fast reads//writes Price compatability with the nook color
  • Cons: I did have a problem where my data became corrupted once - a simple re-mounting of the image fixed this - it may have been my fault but it may not have been.

User Review

Stubot, TigerDirect.com
26 March 2009
  • Summary: I bought this card to use with my G1. It works perfectly, although the first time I installed the card there was a tense moment when the phone rebooted in the middle of startup. The phone has never done that before or after that incident. Overall the card holds everything I need it to, and works every time.
