all right

16 April 2012
  • Summary: Supposedly, these cards are class 6. However, when trying to record video in my 808 #16 keychain camera, it would record for only about 30 seconds, then stop recording. This appears to be a problem with the camera not being able to write fast enough to the card.
  • Pros: 8 gigs micro sdhc etc. worked in my 808 #11 keychain camera
  • Cons: didn't work in my 808 #16 keychain camera

got this to use as a flash drive

Anonymous, Newegg
22 October 2011
  • Summary: I was looking for something to use as a USB drive until i could invest in a SSD to run Linux on my laptop but the memory card will over heat
  • Pros: Works great for quick saving and as a portable flash drive
  • Cons: do not forget to unplug it within 5 minutes or so depending on what type of files you are reading/saving as it overheats easy and could melt

Good but failed

Jeff B., Newegg
10 September 2011
  • Pros: Great card. Fast Speed. Did exactly what I purchased it for. Used in Evo 4G, speeds up gallery, music, HD video playback and holds tons of data
  • Cons: Failed after 8 months. Ejected itself randomly when looking at photos. Attempted restarts and reformats using phone, pc, and camera to get to base of card. Unsuccessful as card simply corrupted for some reason. I was able to pull about 80% of data off by selecting groups of files, you could actua...

Micro SD card OK. Adapter doesn't work.

Warren T., Newegg
7 February 2011
  • Pros: Good price, great NewEgg shipping and service as always. Micro SD card works fine in my MP3 player.
  • Cons: The adapter does not work. My HP desktop running MS XP freezes up when I try to open the card using this adapter. Removing the adapter and re-booting clears the issue. The SD port in the computer is working fine with other cards and adapters.

Is mine broken???

Russell K., Newegg
24 October 2010
  • Summary: My 8GB Class 6 Transcend MicroSD HC sustains write speeds in the 6 to 8+ range so what is wrong here? Bad card???
  • Pros: Well it works and my phony sandisk didn't do that. Didn't hold the data.
  • Cons: Mine is only sustaining write speeds of about 3.5MB/sec. This is a class 6 card and should be at least double that.

Flash reader too small

Anonymous, Newegg
24 July 2010
  • Pros: Cheap. It works.
  • Cons: Be careful, I got my card stuck in the reader, and I ended up snapping it in two and losing some game saves ect. Not really the companies fault, but the reader is so small it can be really cumbersome to remove the card.

Reliable but not the fastest. Reader a bit plus.

Anonymous, Newegg
7 January 2010
  • Summary: Newegg sells a Patriot Class 10 card for a few dollars more.
  • Pros: Have 2 of these cards purchased from Newegg. They've been working flawlessly for several months, taking thousands of pictures in my Nikon DSLR. The reader is very nice also.
  • Cons: Not particularly fast, but not slow. Read/Write at 16.7/11.1 MB/s. Irrelevant for single shots, but will only write about 1fps when shooting continuously.

Working but slow

Avraham C., Newegg
26 November 2009
  • Summary: The product would be fine but not for applications demanding higher speed!
  • Pros: Works. Priced well at this time. Good for applications requiring medium and slow speed memory access
  • Cons: The memory is definately slow for my application (a Kodack HD video camera). Slow memory ccess causes skipped frames and jitter
