Truely Awful Card

Excerpt: I have always used SanDisk CF cards in the past and have always been happy with them. However, this card is an abomination. The read speeds are slower than advertised (about 18MB/s) but the write speeds are truely awful.

Excerpt: When I place this compact flash card in my camera it gives me a card read error. I currently have a compact flash card in my camera that is almost full and I have not had a chance to download these pictures to my computer and/or a CD.
Excerpt: It's getting hard to find new memory cards of this size...Compact Flash. Thought I had found a source and bought one online and one at the store. The only difference that I can see is it is 30 MB/s versus 15 MB/s. Will have to return. Disappointed.
Summary: I have ordered some big ticket items from Newegg and always had excellent service, but this little episode will make me very cautious on future purchases as their quality control is slipping and they are playing the odds that people will not ship items back and keep the item shipped instead.
Cons: I ordered the Sandisk Ultra 8gb card and they shipped me the 4gb card. I am not happy with this as it was not what I ordered and they are out of stock on the 8gb card. Rather than sending me the wrong item and having to go through the process of shipping the item back, Newegg should have told me ...
Cons: They appear to have changed how these cards are made. I tried using them to run an OS off and the image no longer fits on the card. If you are running something like a soekris or pc engines board I would be very leery buying these cards.
Summary: I have ordered thousands of dollars worth of items from Newegg and this is the first problem i have ran into.
Pros: None, price is even higher then same card on other sites.
Cons: I should have listened to the other two post underneath this. I too was shipped an Ultra II 15/MBS card, not the 30/MBS as pictured. I knew this could have happened but i ordered anyway figuring it was a decent price even for the 15/MBS card and I was only going to use it as a back up card. If yo...
Summary: My guess is they have a bunch of the Ultra II's that they can't sell at profit and they are trying to to pass these off as Ultra's and hoping that their loyal customers won't notice. The Ultra II's are not longer even for sale. http://www.newegg.com/product/product.aspx?Item=N82E16820171091
Cons: I do did not receive the Ultra 8GB 30MB/Sec CF card, instead I was shipped an Ultra II 15MB/Sec CF card. Same as the other customer the best they could do for me was an RMA. According o the UPC and model number, all Newegg has done is taken some of there old stock, placed a new UPC sticker for th...
Summary: I've been a loyal Newegg customer for 10 years, so this review is not sent lightly. After 7 emails back and forth asking them to send me the 200x card I ordered, they are telling me the best they can do is RMA it.
Cons: I was shipped a SanDisk Ultra-II 8GB CF card, which clearly states on the packaging that it is a 100x card (not 200x as you can see in the photos on this page) with a maximum read rate of 15MB/S (this page states 15MB/S minimum, and the photo of the packaging shows 30MB/S max read rate)
