Summary: The 8 MB Cruzer Micro may seem like an upgrade from a 4 GB flash drive (like my Kingston), but it actually only has 6.66 MG of storage space. That is still a great amount but there is a reason 1.4 MG of space is taken up with unnecessary programs that cannot be deleted. Every time you insert the Cruzer in a USB port, you get options of installing U3 `Launchpad' and U3 `Smart Programs', of which are `YouSendIt', 'Veoh Web Player', 'Launchpad Tour', 'SignUp Shield' and...
Summary: Works as advertised but the casing shell is made of very cheap, flimsy, brittle plastic. The alternative is the fantastic titanium version but that is a lot more expensive. I'd rather Sandisk make one version of this in a shell that was more rugged than the crappy plastic but less expensive than the titanium. Maybe a stainless steel or aluminum case? Or maybe wrap the plastic shell in rubber like Corsair does with their lower end USB flash drives.
Summary: Worked seamlessly on Mac 10.4.9 and Acer laptop with Vista; however on my Dell desktop computer the USB plug was too short and would not plug completely into the USB port, therefore it would not work (unfortunately that was the computer I needed it to work in!). So unless you need to use it on a Dell desktop, Amazon had it at the best price I could find!
Summary: I bought this for the U3 functionality because I have a corp issued notebook and wanted to be able to access personal email while out of town. Surprisingly it came with Cruzer Sync 6.2 installed. Cruzer Sync emulates a bare bones Outlook and allows a user to do basic email chores, however it could not get through my VPN.
