Tweak Town

  • Excerpt: The 1990's were a time of innovation. CERN laid out the plans for the World Wide Web, Intel launched its Pentium processor, Digital SLR cameras made their first appearance and a company still in its infancy laid out the specifications for the Compact Flash memory card, a company we now know as SanDisk. The video used in this test was shot with a Panasonic x900 Camcorder at 1080p 60FPS. Transferring this video to our Extreme Pro card took 17 seconds at a rate of 81MB/s.

SanDisk Extreme 3.0 (64GB)

PC Magazine
21 September 2010
  • Conclusion: The SanDisk Extreme USB 3.0 is the fastest high-capacity drive we've seen to date, and it comes with a stiletto- inspired design and a reasonable price.
  • Pros: Blazing speeds with USB 3.0 or USB 2.0. Large capacity for a low price per GB. Optional encryption available for free. Lifetime warranty.
  • Cons: Special offers are just bloatware.

  • Summary: Overall, I like the card, I think it is looking forward at the technology of next year and the coming years. Certainly, it will be a lasting investment for those who purchase it. I don’t recommend buying just yet, due to price unless you need the storage, unless if you have a Red (which can easily use these speeds) in which case you do have the money.

SanDisk 16GB Extreme Pro CompactFlash

24 November 2009
  • Summary: For this review we used the speedy Addonics ADSACF-N SATA CompactFlash card reader .  This device supports UDMA enabled CompactFlash cards and is about the fastest CompactFlash card reader we could get our hands on with short notice.  Some Firewire 800 card readers are available as well and they should certainly push the limits of this card.
  • Pros: Lightning Fast Speed, Durable CompactFlash Design, Lifetime Warranty, Extreme Temperature Capability
  • Cons: Not as fast as stated, Expensive

SanDisk Extreme Pro 32gb Compact Flash Card

Testfreaks blog
6 November 2009
  • Conclusion: The Sandisk Extreme Pro is the fastest CF card on the market. It is best designed to work with the newest DSLR models which are CDMA 6 enabled. The photographer who captures lots of fast moving action such as sporting events will see the most benefits from the new SanDisk Extreme Pro Compact Flash Card especially when shooting in the best resolution in JPEG +RAW mode. Otherwise the performance gains are slight.
  • Pros: Available 64 GB version, Lightning fast, Lifetime warranty, Extreme weather resistant, Impact resistance
  • Cons: Price, Optimal for newer digital SLR cameras

SanDisk Extreme Pro CompactFlash Card 128GB

18 August 2010
