Summary: Installed it in my desktop, several weeks ago. It increased the speed on loading my windows up. Other application was also speed up. Would recommend this drive to anyone that wants to replace their HD.
Summary: I bought this drive on sale with a coupon for a very attractive price. It's not the fastest drive around, but for the price I paid, it was an excellent value. In addition, I was installing it in an older laptop that only had SATA II, so the speed wasn't terribly important.
Summary: You might think that you could beat the price on this some days, but actually check those the read and write speeds! This drive is a solid speed performer. Got this on a special deal sale, using it as the boot drive for a win 7 64 ultimate quad core do everything system.
Summary: I realize this is a hazard of buying OEM, but this drive didn't even come with screws that fit it! Fortunately I was able to re-use the bracket and screws from my old drive. If you haven't got old parts to swap out, make sure you buy a bracket too!
Summary: When this drive went on sale ($109) I had to give it a shot in my Thinkpad T61. At first the drive was not recognized by Windows 7 install. I booted the old drive and attached the PNYSSD in my external drive case to create a partition. After that the drive was recognized by Windows 7 install.
Summary: I'm using this 240GB SSD to upgrade a 2011 dual-core Win7 laptop into Win 8.1. Definitely worth the upgrade, everything is much faster with SSD and Win8.1, giving couple of years of life of the laptop.
