Summary: I checked the exact specifications of the memory I needed before I bought this module. It worked the way it should. I see some people gave low ratings because the modules they bought didn't work - wrong choice - nothing wrong with PNY memory. When you buy memory. be sure to know the exact specifications BEFORE purchase.
Summary: I bought this to replace a 128MB module in a PC 100 system. I have two identical Compaq computers and had replaced the 128 MB module in the other one a long time ago with a different brand. Put this one in and the system would not complete a boot up. Swapped it with the module from the other system and the one with this module would not finish the boot sequence. Both systems had major file corruption after this module.
Summary: These are not the correct memory for Dell Inspiron 2500. Did not even get to the startup screen. Not recognized by the computer. Ordered the proper memory from another supplier and they worked fine.
Summary: Bought this because my copier manufacturer backordered a product I needed to fix some printer congestion issues with a customers copy machine. After replacing the 128 stick with this one it worked just fine.
Summary: This is my second purchase of this module, the two, purchased about 6 mo. apart, are physically different but compatible in my case on an old Thinkpad. Does not work with some older 256 & 128 modules NOTE: Some old Notebooks require a BIOS upgrade to use 2 x 256MB SODIMMS, check Wims BIOS.
Summary: I bought 2 of these to replace my 128 sticks. They caused blue screen start ups, windows restarts, and brouser restarts. But not all the time, sometimes, after a very long start, they would work ok. I went back to my original memory.
