  • Summary: Submitted RMA on dead card from an order that also included a defective Samsung tablet (which I'm also having trouble getting replaced). NCIX only pays for shipping if you pay for express RMA in advance, so I guess I would have to buy insurance for them to back up the products they sell. The cost of shipping will be close to the amount I paid for the card, so a return is not worth it. This will be the last order I make with NCIX.
  • Pros: None. Card was dead on arrival.
  • Cons: Dead on arrival. NCIX customer is horrible to work with.

Did I get a bad card?

Richard G., Newegg
5 November 2012
  • Summary: My other brand class 10, 16 GB card wrote @ class 10, and had no problem playing the video back.
  • Pros: Just the price.
  • Cons: This card only wrote barely above Class 2. Yes it read at over class 10 speed. Used dual cards on Cam in backup mode. The Kingston played back poorly and hesitated also.

Defective and unreliable

Royenko, B&H Photo
20 January 2009
  • Summary: I've had mine for about two months, using it infrequently with a Canon EOS-40D. The card behaves erratically, losing pictures to serious errors about 5% of the time. Never had such problems with same camera while using other memory brands (SanDisk, Lexar) over the past 10 months. I'd say the Kingston product is no bargain at any price.
  • Cons: Unreliable Storage
