Good buy. Works Well.

  • Summary: These items appear to never come down in price. Larger drives are coming this year.
  • Pros: WORKS. PC sees it as two drives. One houses the program to allow you to access the second. Works great. Never an issue with it over 14 months.
  • Cons: If PC not set to autorun you will need to run it your self before you get a login screen. Once you put in the password you may access the stick. A few extra steps.

  • Summary: This is a secure USB stick, but it does not work with EPHD encryption, which makes it hard to use as a full "data at rest" protection device. Think Kingston should improve compatibility with other encryption methods and Mac/Linux OS.
  • Pros: Solid construction, fast access, works with Vista and XP. Good hardware solution for encryption, easy to use software and mounting, would trust with sensitive data.
  • Cons: Does not work with Encryption Plus HD. Since this is a standard for many enterprise laptops, I find this a serious limitation.

  • Cons: Device errors if other encrypted devices are used (like the apricorn vault) which means you cannot use both at the same time to transfer data. Incredibly expensive. Only seems fast using single large files. Many small files are very slow. Auto destroy with invalid password at 5 times is not confi...
