  • Summary: I bought this to upgrade the memory in an old laptop. It improved performance greatly from what I originally had. Much better option than replacing the laptop.

  • Summary: edit October 2013: Since install and laptop usage requiring maxed use of ram have suffered several bsod under winXP, and some crashes running livedvd Linux Mint. Replaced piece with 1 rank to eliminate crucial induced controller mismatch. Ordered a "1 rank" module but received "2 rank" module.

  • Summary: Hi, I bought two 1GB RAMs for my IBM ThinkPad R51 Laptop to replace 256 MB and 512 MB RAMs . I checked on other sites and found this RAM to be cheaper at Amazon. Installation was easy as described in the Lenovo support. My Laptop recognized it instantly as I powered it back on.

Tyler Judge, Amazon

  • Summary: I upgraded my Compaq Presario V5210US with a total of 512mb RAM, replacing the two 256mb units with a couple of these 1gb modules. The difference was immediately obvious. Start up has never taken less time & multiple internet pages, even streaming media, are no problem.
