Summary: Paying only $6.99 for a 512mb stick of ram would be too good of deal; well it was, tried everything reseating, running on it's own and so on with the same results PC would not boot because of hardware failure - ram.
Summary: I love how I write a review of this seller and they respond, but I can't follow-up. They make it out as if I'm the fool for not reading every bit of small print they use. Read my earlier 1 out of 5 review of this seller. They advertise Crucial memory, but ship you Samsung memory.
DOA - junk like most other post-consumer memory upgrades

Summary: I examined multiple Crucial sticks I have in inventory and found a wide variety of memory chips from other vendors on the sticks. None had Micron chips. When I called Micron they said they make "special" models for third party sellers.
Cons: DOA - both sticks in the kit. Used newegg configuator and these were listed for my model. Tried two different computers, one of which already had PC3200 memory in it. Same thing on both systems: beeping as soon as the power cord was plugged in. Tried each of the two sticks one at a time. Both bad...
Cons: Memory was either bad or not compatible. I tried booting it with just the RAM, it would start, but Windows would blue screen. And when used in conjunction with other memory, windows would not boot at all. Now I know if the memory was dead, the computer wouldnt get past the BIOS test and would sta...
Summary: After RMAing the one bad stick to Crucial the second one they sent to me looked nothing like the one I sent in. When using both sticks my system was DOA. I am sticking with Corsair from now on--at least their stuff works. Even the Kxxxon memory I had worked better than this.
Pros: None. Could only use one of two matched sticks--and this memory I got from Crucial directly--it was the recommended memory they suggested on their site.
Cons: Blue screen of death when using two sticks on my MSI motherboard. Random reboots. Registry corruption.
Summary: The RAM newegg is selling is not the dual sided memory in the photo. What you get is single sided memory. If you buy this memory to upgrade and you have the Crucial memory that is in the photo in your computer(".16T"), your memory's Dynamic Paging will be disabled. Very dissapointing.
Summary: Does not work with asus k8v-x. I inserted it and my computer kept locking up then giving me the blue memory dump screen. I have another crucial stick which works fine but it is not this type of stick. It is the cheaper one. I would not recommend this to anyone.
