Summary: We bought this from our local Micro Center. It won't load music correctly, doesn't play movies (or rather, it might if we could get one to load) and the touch screen requires an extremely heavy hand. There is no way that I can discern to change the date (I'm sure there is, but it's not in the manual and when I contacted the company for help, they declined to reply). I couldn't possibly be more unhappy with the device if I tried.
Summary: Of course, I should note that I did purchase this unit as an open-box-buy. Probably was a return. For whatever reason, I assumed that the item would be checked for operation before being placed back in the marketplace, but perhaps there is really no means for them to do this. Filled out the return request and sent it back the next day. Amazon is great about that.
Summary: The home screen has about 16 icons - a normal person buying an mp3 player wants only one - the music button. Which is absurdly small and hard to press. It turns out, that button also doesn't play music. The device technically accepts an sd card, but the it doesn't scan it for music. So, instead of pressing the music button, you must press the file explorer button and manually select the correct mp3 file from the sd card. The hardware is little better than the software.
Summary: Ordered 1 for each of my kids... My son's works pretty good & my daughters malfunctioned about 2-3 weeks after we received it. I wouldn't buy another one ever again. Downloading music was a pain too.
