Probably won't play any better than the 512MB

  • Summary: Please see my review of the 512MB version. Not recommended unless the price drops a lot more.

Simple little player

ElKirbster, Amazon
7 October 2006
  • Summary: This is a very simple to use player. Just hook it up so it can charge up, add your songs and it's ready to use. It also doulbes as a storage device ala sandisk cruzer. I probably won't use that feature until I upgrade to a video player like the Zune. The controls are it's weak point.

Excellent purchase decision

Ralph M., Newegg
5 August 2006
  • Summary: Beautiful design, solid feel, accessorized perfectly. A mininmalist approach that works, like I said RIGHT OUT OF THE BOX. I may buy two of them...
  • Pros: Instant workability. Nothing more frustrating than spending hours downloading drivers, patches, cruising the forums looking for answers to get you new toy to work. I just plugged this in and it WORKED PERFECTLY in each and every system I plugged it into. Don't buy the Zen Nano Plus 'cause I did j...
  • Cons: A display would be nice, but can live without - displays break and drain battery life. I really would like to see this design with 4-8 gig of storage though as I had to choose the mp3's to upload. I would prefer to put them all on and push PLAY...

Awesome for Work

Paul S., Newegg
23 July 2006
  • Summary: A pretty good deal and one of the best price to storage ratios for an MP3 player.
  • Pros: Player has plug and play with Windows XP, and lots of storage. Excellent for using at work (I use it during my job at a landscaping business).
  • Cons: I don't think you can organize the songs into folders, which means it is very irritating have to press next for a few hundred songs. Attached headphones were not very durable either.

Definitely Worth Strong Consideration

Thomas B., Newegg
27 June 2006
  • Summary: My choice player would also include AM radio, and voice recording. Other than these slight caveats (BTW no .mp3 I've seen has AM radio) this item qualified in every other way, with bonuses to spare!
  • Pros: Rechargeable battery / long battery life, good sound quality (high .mp3 sample rates, and .wma supported), FLASH storage media, small, and durable. Plethora of features (most of them useful). Comes with a USB extension cable too!
  • Cons: As-is, this product has no real cons. However, I can rant and say it could have more storage space, and come with better headphones ;)

A good purchase...

James P., Newegg
27 June 2006
  • Summary: Good bang for the buck, and it's pretty sturdy (I use when I fly, and it gets banged around a lot.)
  • Pros: 1GB capacity, USB 2.0, excellent sound quality, & connector mounted on the unit (no cable needed)
  • Cons: Althought I appreciate not worrying about breaking a info screen, it seems to limit the functions by not having one. Also, I would prefer the headphone jack to be sticking out of the end, as opposed to the side, so it fits in smaller spaces while plugged in.

7 February 2006
  • Summary: Apart from these small problems (i guess they can be fixed easily with software updates) I find this player very useful and practical. Compared to screenny models, this has potential to last longer than ever.
  • Pros: Small size (think of ubiquitous usb flash drive). Extremely rugged - something I was looking for. No screen means no delicate parts to accidentally break. Simple controls - exceptional when jogging or going to gym. USB rechargeable - I love it! Arrange all songs in alphabetical order on this driv...
  • Cons: On my device next/previous song buttons are somewhat backwards. So to advance track I would press "-" area instead of "+". :) When paused, it runs timer and when that expires it just shuts down. If u want it to resume plaing, you need to unplug headphones and plug them back again. Bundled earbuds...
