The Sony Walkman NWZ-E453 is a portable media player that sports a 2-inch QVGA LCD display and supports up to 4 GB of internal storage space. It is powered by a built-in battery that provides users with up to 50 hours of music playback and up to 10 hours of video playback. The player also includes Lyric Sync that supports .lrc file format that display words of songs on screen, as well as a Karaoke Mode that automatically reduces the original performer’s vocal level. The PMP also features an FM radio, voice recorder, alarm/timer functions, is powered by DSEE (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine) for optimized sound quality and SensMe for themed listening to suit a user’s mood. The Sony Walkman NWZ-E453 supports MP3, WMA, AAC and Linear PCM/AAC audio format, as well as AVC (H.264/AVC) baseline profile and MPEG-4/WMV video files. It is available in black, red, blue, pink or green color options.

It supports SensMe™ technology which automatically analyzes and categorizes music library, creating a series of themed channels that suit the mood of the user. Other features include Virtual Phones technology which allows users to enjoy tracks via headphones by modeling acoustics inside five soundspaces, from intimate club to the biggest arena; Dynamic Normalizer which balances the volume of each songs to reduce the jumps in volume; and Content Transfer software that allows users to drag and drop music files and playlists directly to the Walkman® from a PC or iTunes library.
