Excerpt: Having defected from Sony in recent times in favour of the iPod revolution I feel like I have returned back to my roots! Until I had purchased my iPod Nano I had always preferred Sony to Apple in just about everything I preferred a Viao to …
Summary: I've had this mp3 player for about 4 years. The battery life is still very good - I can plug it into the car driving 6 hours plus and it easily lasts the journey and the return. It's very light so if you drop it it doesn't matter as it doesn't have a hard enough impact to break anything. The sens-me channels are not always that accurate but energetic and extreme are ok and they're probably the ones you'd want the most if you go to the gym.
Summary: I have had mine 4yrs, taken on many holidays, so compact in size but big on sound", replaced broken earphones with Sennheiser ie6 in ear phones, sounds amazing, real punchy bass,,but still clear no distortion in mid range, using equalizer in custom 1 or 2 settings to tweak sound ,I listen to metal or acoustic music all sound good, I am also going to buy a Cowan J3 to compare
Pros: sound quality, ease of use, compact size, price. hard to beat
Excerpt: "...design, I went for the Sony - largely because it was almost half the price. Though it's not as pretty as the iPod (and it's not purple), the Sony is far from ugly, being very small, light and compact. It makes the Creative Zen look like a brick in comparison. The Sony is available in three colours: black, red and silver - I went for the silver, which has orange edges. I have heard a lot of people say that the sound quality of the Sony is better ...
Excerpt: "I picked this Sony player over the large number of others in the market based on other reviews on the web, and I wasn't disappointed. It is easy to use, and the automatic playlist creation works very well. Other people have mentioned you can't create your own playlists on the device, but if you have never done this before, you won't miss it. There are enough channels to choose from to never have to worry about selecting music. The supplied headphones(MDR-EX082s) ...
Pros: Excellent headphones (worth almost 1/3 of the mp3 player ! )
A definite iPod alternative and beater in my opinion.

Excerpt: "...is my review on the Sony Walkman NWZ-S639. I have up until now been an iPod fan, but I feel that Apple is dominating the MP3 player market and I am a bit confused as to why for the following reasons: 1: The Sony Walkman has FAR superior sound than the iPod, now this isn’t just my opinion but many reviews on the internet point this out too, this is partly down to Sony supplying good quality earphones as standard and also Sony have different sound ...
Pros: Sound quality, price, ease of use the list goes on .
Cons: Sony Walkman's need to have a wider support of accessories, both Sony branded and also third party
Excerpt: "...joy with the sound of Sony products but I have to say with a honest heart, I am not at all impressed with the durability of this product I have so far gone through 3 of the same MP4 model all having the same fault with charger plates on the bottom of the machine malfunctioning. Don't get me wrong sound quality and features and even the amount of music this MP4 can hold are very good indeed.Still I have to bring it home, if the machine has no durability ...
Pros: Features was very excellent sound quality able to hold a lot of music files .
Cons: Charger Faults and malfunction with the USB after a while make this a no no .
Sony NWZ-S639F - Awesome sound quality, beautifully designed

Excerpt: "Previously owned Sony and Creative mp3 players as well as listening to friend's ipod and to me this is the best sounding mp3 out there. Suprisingly the supplied headphones are good, albeit a little flimsy (mine broke within 7months). The mp3 itself is well built with a metallic body, plastic surround. There are volume control buttons on the side as well as a hold switch. Small, but feels sturdy and has a good weight to it. Album art is displayed ...
Pros: Sound, Design, Drag and Drop, Build Qualitry
Cons: Cant delete song or make playlist on the player itself
Excerpt: "Bought this recently after my MP3 player, which was getting on a bit, just decided enough was enough and it was time to keel over and die (or stop working; however you want to put it). == Look and design == It's very light, and very small, but still very easy to use, there's no squinting for the buttons or accidentally pressing two at once. And it's reasonably good looking, it's not a head turner, but as music players are for personal ...
