Excerpt: Having defected from Sony in recent times in favour of the iPod revolution I feel like I have returned back to my roots! Until I had purchased my iPod Nano I had always preferred Sony to Apple in just about everything I preferred a Viao to …
Summary: I've had this mp3 player for about 4 years. The battery life is still very good - I can plug it into the car driving 6 hours plus and it easily lasts the journey and the return. It's very light so if you drop it it doesn't matter as it doesn't have a hard enough impact to break anything. The sens-me channels are not always that accurate but energetic and extreme are ok and they're probably the ones you'd want the most if you go to the gym.
Summary: I have had mine 4yrs, taken on many holidays, so compact in size but big on sound", replaced broken earphones with Sennheiser ie6 in ear phones, sounds amazing, real punchy bass,,but still clear no distortion in mid range, using equalizer in custom 1 or 2 settings to tweak sound ,I listen to metal or acoustic music all sound good, I am also going to buy a Cowan J3 to compare
Pros: sound quality, ease of use, compact size, price. hard to beat
Excerpt: "...design, I went for the Sony - largely because it was almost half the price. Though it's not as pretty as the iPod (and it's not purple), the Sony is far from ugly, being very small, light and compact. It makes the Creative Zen look like a brick in comparison. The Sony is available in three colours: black, red and silver - I went for the silver, which has orange edges. I have heard a lot of people say that the sound quality of the Sony is better ...
This player gives high quality audio, superb headphones and fantastic features at a low price!

Excerpt: I bought this Sony Walkman just over a year ago to replace my 1st generation iPod Nano, and I haven't looked to another one since. Here's the ups and downs: Look and Feel: This Walkman fits in your hands nicely, and is super light as to not be a burden in your pocket. The buttons are all easy to use, even blindly, with the volume and hold buttons on each side of the player being very prominent and easy to find.
Your whole music collection in one handy portable device.

Excerpt: The Sony Walkman NWZ-S639F 16 GB is a great little mp3 player that is very robust and has so many nifty features. Sony is well known for their mp3 players due to the ease of use and great features. The device is very good looking in terms of design and colour. It fits perfectly into m pocket and it feels like it's not even sitting in there. Not only is the device good, the headphones supplied are awesome and they have great sound clarity and deep bass.
Excerpt: "I picked this Sony player over the large number of others in the market based on other reviews on the web, and I wasn't disappointed. It is easy to use, and the automatic playlist creation works very well. Other people have mentioned you can't create your own playlists on the device, but if you have never done this before, you won't miss it. There are enough channels to choose from to never have to worry about selecting music. The supplied headphones(MDR-EX082s) ...
Pros: Excellent headphones (worth almost 1/3 of the mp3 player ! )
Excerpt: This MP3 player is much better than some of their earlier designs. The sound quality of the first ones were good but in this one the sound is the best quality, and you can chose the type you want it to sound like, such as live. My brother bought an I-Pod around the similar time to when I bought this but even he agreed that this had better sound quality, and he's studying for a music masters.
Excellent build and sound quality. I reccomend this for use during sport.

Excerpt: This is the second Sony MP3 player that I have used and must say that these new Sony players have come on leaps and bounds. The player itself is very small and light and will fit in any pocket. One of the best features is that unlike older Sony players and other brands this modle does not require software to load your music to the player, however it is an option.
A definite iPod alternative and beater in my opinion.

Excerpt: "...is my review on the Sony Walkman NWZ-S639. I have up until now been an iPod fan, but I feel that Apple is dominating the MP3 player market and I am a bit confused as to why for the following reasons: 1: The Sony Walkman has FAR superior sound than the iPod, now this isn’t just my opinion but many reviews on the internet point this out too, this is partly down to Sony supplying good quality earphones as standard and also Sony have different sound ...
Pros: Sound quality, price, ease of use the list goes on .
Cons: Sony Walkman's need to have a wider support of accessories, both Sony branded and also third party
