Excerpt: Having been a previous owner of the Sony MP3 NW-A1200 I decided to upgrade. I'm not a fan of the ipod, ipad etc so mainly looked around at the sony, kubic, philips and samsung. I like the upgrade of the Sony grab and drop option to put music on the machine directly - which is so much easier than the previous software, and you can also use media player if you prefer. I love the fact the you can put on BBC iplayer, podcasts and photos on to the mp3 player.
Excerpt: I picked myself up an 8 GB Sony Walkman for around $80 at Best Buy after my Sansa Fuze died. I must say, the Walkman is probably the best mp3 player I have ever owned.. and I have bought 6 of them over the years. We all know that Sony has a pretty good track record of delivering quality products, and this is no exception. However, generally if you want Sony quality you have to put up with Sony price.
Excerpt: The Walkman brand is synonymous with quality and before the iPod was released, was the premier choice for music lovers everywhere. The NWZ S638F is a small mp3 player which packs 8gb of storage and features playback of music, photo's, videos and radio. The photo's and video look good and crisp but the screen is a little small to compete with the likes of the iPod Touch. However it is the music playback which is where this player really excels.
Excerpt: This is a walkman worthy of the name and a great alternative to an ipod. The first thing you notice is the size, its both thin and small and nice to hold in the palm of your hand. The next thing is the top quality screen, photos look vibrant on this player. I don't use it much for viewing but what I've seen shows that Mp4's / video looks crisp and realistic. The most important part is the music and on this Sony does not disappoint.
Excerpt: I was looking for an MP3 player suitable for use whilst out running. Not wanting to become one of the IPOD generation, I looked at a number of alternatives. This got my attention because of its size (similar to that of a IPOD Nano) and the simple controls. I like this device because it does exactly what I needed it to do.
Pros: Great sounding MP3 player with lots of battery life
Cons: You may find it a little expensive if you are not going to use all its features
Excerpt: This media player is a great value compact player with oodles of memory for most podcast and mp3 needs. It's probably on the smaller side if you want to hold loads of video, but if you just want to hold a one off program then it does the job nicely. (8GB for the techies amoung you) I've had my player for the past 9 months and I love it. The player is iplayer compatible which is quite rare among media players.
Excerpt: Review for Sony Walkman Having never really been a lover of ipod I decided it was time to jump ship and revert to using an MP3 player. I went on a mission to find a MP3 player my requirements were simple .I wanted to be able to use the player with a docking station, simple to add tracks to (eg no software program needed like I Tunes), also something that played video.
Pros: Compatible with Sony made speaker dock, excellent all round quality, sleek appearance
Excerpt: This walk,an is brilliant is stores everything from music to photos to films. With the mp3 there is headphones and a usb cable. This is used for charging the walkman and for putting songs onto it. You can create playlists and you can also choose a song randomly from the year it was released. You can choose the background image for the menu on the walkman. It is very sleek and visually atrractive and is very easy to use.
