Summary: I was quite annoyed when I ordered this Walkman and then, after it arrived, I found out it is not compatible with Audible.com a company that Amazon owns. I think that fact should have been mentioned somewhere in the Amazon description.
Summary: Was great while it lasted, but after 14 month simply died. Wouldn't charge despite all suggested trouble shooting moves. Blank screen after all day charging (with computer on) and repeat resets. Tried charging with USB as well as with adapter. When connected to laptop via USB shows charging, but when unplugged goes blank and no response. Looks like the battery charging system is dead. Expected better quality from Sony. Made in China, Of course! Disappointing.
Summary: I thought this seemed like a nice player. Seemed easy to use, loaded it up with my music collection. It played fine and sounded fine. But here's are the problems: 1) Whenever I had it plugged into my Windows 7 PC, it would lock up my PC. I made sure I had the latest drivers, but still had problems. As soon as I unplugged the player, my PC would come back. 2) The MP3 died after about 8 months of very light use.
Summary: I have used an inexpensive portable MP3 & Ogg player for years. It died and I thought I would upgrade and get a new classy player. I discovered this Sony unit unit is a Microsoft only product and it will not work with properly with wine either. It will work with Hacintosh/Macintosh but the rudimentary abilities are almost useless, this is a true Microsoft only unit...
This is my third one in a year - they all stopped working!

Summary: This is my third one in a year. They have all stopped working. I am not buying it again because each time, they made me buy a new warranty. So I got a replacement each time, but the warranty is expensive. I am going with a different brand and I won't be wasting a hundred bucks on such a short-lived device. Sad to say, this is not a quality piece of electronics. I used to trust the Sony name. No more. p.s. The device has not been dropped or abused.
Summary: I know that MP3 players are known for malfunctioning easily, but I thought I was purchasing a quality product when I went with the Sony namebrand. Unfortunately, this product stopped turning on after about six weeks of use. This was also my second try at it, as I had earlier returned a previous MP3 player that was broken before it was even opened.
Summary: I should have sent this back along time ago. I ordered the refurbished model. It would not allow new songs to load. It would start loading, then wipe off all the old songs. Spend the extra bucks and buy a new one. Then again, maybe I just had bad luck.
