Summary: Its a sweet mp3 player, but none of the major music download companies such as rhapsody. napster, etc. are compatible with this machine, which kind of makes it useless to me. Ha! not even sony's music download company accepts this as a compatible mp3, How stupid id that.
Summary: I've owned/used this walkman for 2 days now. My usage is solely for listening to podcasts in bed at night. I wanted to operate the unit in complete darkness, and w/o having to look at the unit, i.e., by feel alone. I found I was able to do that. However, I wonder sometimes if Sony's designers ever operate/use their devices the same way as most people might do before putting the design into production. There's one thing with this unit that is most frustrating to me.
Summary: This is a nice mp3 player and has a lot of nice features, but I was a little confused about the small buttons that easily turns your player on. The player will turn on if you press ANY button on it, so watch out. The sound quality is great, and loading songs are fairly easy. I haven't tried all the functions on it, but so far, so good. I use mine at the gym and would recommend it to anyone for that purpose.
Good for some things but I had Overdrive transfering issues.

Summary: Edit: I posted the below review with one star two months ago when I bought the device. I had played around with it some, and it worked for music and had some cool features, but I was entirely dissatisfied with the the problems with both the player and Sony's customer service. I am reposting with a higher star level on reflection with the huge caveat that there are huge issues with transferring files from Overdrive.
