Frozen after 4 months

G. Thomas "GT", Amazon
19 April 2010
  • Summary: Having bought a lot of Sansa products in the past I decided to try a Sony instead. Unfortunately my experience with this player has not been good. After using it occasionally for the first 3 months I finally decided to load it up and listen to it while working in the garage.

Had high hopes but got headaches instead

J. Nelson, Amazon
26 December 2009
  • Summary: I decided to buy this unit for my 10-year-old son as his first MP3 player because I didn't want to dish out the big bucks for the IPOD not knowing how careful he would be with it. I love my IPOD Classic but they are pricey. Additionally, I've always been a fan of Sony electronics. No more..

This thing is JUNK!!!

J Jack Flash, Amazon
17 December 2009
  • Summary: This is my first ever MP3 puchase. I have over 1,000 cds and wanted to try an MP3 so I could listen to my favorite tunes on the disc golf course. Everything started great. From my computer, I could rip my cds onto this Sony with great ease.

Broke in a week - hardly used, no abuse!! Piece of JUNK.

Consumer reporting, Amazon
3 November 2009
  • Summary: I cant seem to find a working mp3 player these days. My samsung clip broke twice. So I thought Sony would be a quality product but within a week it was freezing on me. I hit the reset button, it would work for a couple of songs then freeze again. Even in radio mode it will just suddenly freeze.

Lasted only 6 months

T. Lester, Amazon
21 July 2009
  • Summary: Don't purchase this item if you want an operational MP3 for more than a few months. Without any damage to this Sony MP3 player (i.e. dropping it, bumping it, etc), the player just stopped working. It would not power up at all. When we contacted Sony online, they offered an exchange program for $29.
