Sony NWZ B173F Flash MP3 Player

R. Rucker "mad dog", Amazon
  • Summary: Cannot use this device. There is no random play option for all the music in the player, it only allows random for each CD album. The controls for various playing options are too complex and I was unable to execute even simple ones while running. I put this unit away and bought another Sansa Clip from Amazon - very simple to use and cheaper.

  • Summary: This Flash Player is one of the best that I have owned. Charging is quick, sound quality is very good, I love the ear phone that is the same color as the Player. The sound quality from the ear phones are also very good. Overall, this is a good Player.

Not the Sony Product I expected

N. Dured, Amazon
23 March 2014
  • Summary: In defense of Sony, I suspect this product was contract manufactured and perhaps even designed by another low-grade company. I can't seem to find any other explanation for why a product bearing the great Sony name would be such a disappointment. Pros: 1) Easy-to-use interface with my computer. Truly plug-and-play. Plug the player in to your computer, open Windows Explorer, and drag you music into the player. Easy. Fast. Simple.

Cool little device

Theo Scheepers, Amazon
17 March 2014
  • Summary: Let's face it, phones can play music, but playing music does take up battery life. And that's why I decided to get a little mp3 player. When I'm traveling, I don't want to be using my phone's battery, just in case I get into some kind of situation where I need all the battery life I can get. The other reason is audio quality. I have an HTC One, but in all honesty, the gimmicky Beats Audio is just that, a gimmick. It cannot hope to compare to a quality player.

Pretty good

Erin Kenneally, Amazon
3 March 2014
  • Summary: This unit is okay.... the navigation buttons are not user friendly from the perspective of using it for working out. They're too hard to reach and are not robust. I bought this to replace my Sansa Clip... the Clip is better.

Portable Player, Flash Drive, Radio and a Recorder all in One

Stefan Zhelyazkov, Amazon
9 February 2014
  • Summary: What I love most about this product is that it is so cheap and easy to use! No iTunes, syncing up devices, installing drivers, etc. It's just plug-and-play! Works great as a flash drive, has radio, has a mic to make recordings when you need it.. I think this player is the best USB flash drive player out there and highly recommend it for the quality of the music, ease to use and the low price!

Came before xmas!

Nguyen, Amazon
18 January 2014
  • Summary: It was supposed to arrive January 3th but it came way before, and before Christmas! so thank you for the prompt shipment and the packaging was good too. It was a gift to my sister and she isn't fond of apple's so she wanted something that is quick to download songs in with no fuss and easy, so this one is working like a memory stick, you plug it in the usb on your computer and just load in music and it charges that way too~ simple and looks sleek.
