Summary: Bought this looks good and I shouldve have read the spec and realised Sony just create an innovated product and balls it up...this is a waste of time. MP3 is the standard format. So you have all your Mp3s and what does this unfriendly and unintuitive sonicstage software do...yep...CREATES ANOTHER COPY OF EVERYTHING ON YOUR DIVE (IF YOU HAVE SPACE) AND IT TAKES HOURS/DAYS//// I shouldve gone with Ipod..
Pros: Great size/battery life/nicee LCD screen
Cons: DOES NOT PLAY MP3 If you have 20GB of MP3s on your hard drive it will convert it AGAIN to another 20GB of audio data - yep thats now 40GB and then takes another 12 hours to transfer it to the unit. So if you have 160gb of MP3s then you need a 500GB drive and a lot of patience. For the fact you can not play MP3s this is ABYSMAL
Summary: Probably the most un-user friendly software I've seen in awhile. It took forever to figure out how to get it from limewire to sonic and then they threw a stipulation to "connect to the whatever store" to even set up the sonic software correctly. They need to rethink the software thing. The player itself is great once you figure out where all of the buttons are. The sound quality is right up there too. Great player, bad software. I'm a fan of drag and drop.
Summary: My wife got me a Sony Walkman NW-HD1 last x-m**** I use it daily in my airplane and truck. I've loaded with all my CD's -very little off iConnect site. I connect unit to intercom in my 182 and listen to music for hours while flying. Best part is is shirt pocket portable. Great product -only short coming is it takes a while to put music on unit.
