GOD AWFUL

A. MORALES, Amazon
13 January 2012
  • Summary: I PURCHASED THIS. PLUS YOU HAVE TO INSTALL THE CD. THIS IS NOT AN IPOD. ITS A BITCH TO USE. VERY FRUSTRATING. SO, SO, SORRY I PURCHASED IT. THIS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SELLER BUT THE ACTUAL SONY PRODUCT.

Good Item

Justin, Amazon
17 September 2010
  • Summary: This item is probably one of the best MP3 players I've ever owned. Its a must have item and the ease of use is great for a first time user. I dont have to buy batteries for this product, since it charges from a USB port on my computer.

I will hesitate now for any sony products

Anton Kulchitsky, Amazon
25 April 2007
  • Summary: I bought it to make a present to my son and needed to return it back to the store. The reason? It is NOT an mp3 player. It sucks. Nobody in my family could use it. This device does not play mp3. You have to produce files in Sony's closed proprietary format from your mp3 files. Can you imagine? I have 4 computers at home and neither has Windows OS (linux and macos only). However, to use this peace of...

Great MP3 for the $$

Ingrid Holzman "Maryland Mom", Amazon
8 April 2007
  • Summary: I purchased this MP3 as a gift for my 6-1/2 y.o. daughter, who wanted an iPod like mine. I decided to go with something less expensive and got a great deal on this (mispriced at store!). Although someone noted the software was horrible, I have to disagree. It worked beautifully and we were up and running, downloading music in less than 10 minutes. The sound quality is great. I did purchase a different set of headphones since the earbud variety are not comfortable.

A fricking disaster

T. Hecimovic "audioBooker", Amazon
2 April 2007
  • Summary: I never wanted to write something bad about anything, but common sense obliges me to inform all the future users about the sorry Sony politic. You can see a lot of complaints out there on the Web so I will not talk long. I am a professional in computing and I must say that Sony's "software" is one of the worst of the kind. I could not even get it started on my work computer ! Where I could - it showed instability and inconsistency.

It;s OK for the price!

Mama Mia, Amazon
5 January 2007
  • Summary: I got this just for a long overseas trip. I paid less for this and I am glad I did, had I paid full-price I would not have been impressed. It does show fingerprints and smudges - a matte finish would have been easier to take care of. The 'home' button is too close to the 'play/stop' button and when pushing either, I always manage to change the volume on the back. You can rotate the display to change this (for right-handed or left-handed people).

Gem

Jack "bdcu", Amazon
30 September 2006
  • Summary: The fingerprints were very annoying at first, but the hard and shiny acrylic surface is quickly restored to perfection with a quick swipe of the thumb. The design is simply elegant in material quality, like a piece of jewelry accentuated with understated OLED animation effects. The built-in clock is a small touch, but the unit's simplicity makes it a handsome timepiece in its own right. Not to mention that this is the best looking USB thumb drive I've seen on the market.

Outdated with terrible software and so probably not worth it!

Ayesha-`, Dooyoo
20 June 2010
  • Excerpt: I bought this for £65 from a rip-off store in central London. At the time you could get them for just over £50, now at that price you could probably get better mp3 players with 8GB memory and no need for software installations. I had to bargain down from £80 on the one I bought, convinced that the retail price was much higher. Naturally, I was not happy with it when I discovered the truth.

Small, cute and useful

larissinh..., Ciao
10 December 2009
  • Excerpt: In my opinion, this the one of the coolest MP3 players that I've ever seen. The first good thing is the size: you can carry on your jeans' pocket, but you also can lost it very easily if you're not careful. The second good thing is the design: it looks like a lighter, and everybody says "wow, your mp3 is so one-of-a-kind, so cute and original!
  • Pros: Small, cute
  • Cons: has few space to songs

A super mp3 player that does what it needs to, and brilliantly at that!

Dave24, Dooyoo
23 November 2009
  • Excerpt: If you are looking for a relatively cheap and very small mp3 player then the Sony series of NW-E002's is for you. Now they come in a range of different memory rates, from 256mb,512mb , 1Gb and even 2Gb. Now these days that does not sound like much but when you realise a few years ago this was a large amount of data. Especially when its crammed onto a small player no larger than 7-8cm in length.
  • Pros: Reliability
