Summary: As of this posting, I took my G1 and refreshed all the stations and played them as expected. I saw the post about Slacker no supporting this G1 device anymore but mine works just fine. unsure what the real problem is. Obviously since mine still works, I must say that it still should be purchased.
Summary: The Slacker G1 unit is horrible. I restored the unit to default settings and try to load my stations and it doesnt work. I tried updating firmware and that doesnt work either. The unti will not load my stations through wired or wi-fi connection. Do yourself a favor and buy the G2 unit whichworks like a charm.
Summary: I used my phone to listen to slacker radio at work. I work in a factory so my phone in certain places would loose signal. With this new player I dont have to worry about that. I can get WiFi at work if I need it. I never use the WiFi option at work. I have been a Slacker fan for over a year now. I have all my stations programed in already saved to my account. The only thing I wish it had was a search option. They do need to have a program for Windows 7.
Summary: I like slacker radio better than any portable music device I have ever had. It gives me the luxury of not having to listen to the same songs over and over again like the Ipod. Slacker Radio = Amazing!
Summary: I am an avid slacker listener online. I even pay for the premium service for unlimited song skips. When I got this radio, I was so disappointed. You can not have custom stations, you can only skip 5 songs, and the refresh your stations takes hours of being connected to a wireless. The touch screen does not work and it is so big that it's hard to carry around in a pocket.
Summary: I can't understand why everyone isn't walking around with one of these in their pockets wearing a huge smile. Unlike mp3 players, the slacker player introduces countless new songs and then refreshes each station reflecting your likes and dislikes. Each song comes complete with biographical info on the artists. I refreshed 15 stations tonight with an old usb 1.0 connection and it took less than a half hour.
Summary: I already own a Slacker radio, and I bought this one as a gift for my son-in-law for Christmas. The item was sent on time and it was exactly what I had ordered. No problems whatsoever. I would purchase from this company again.
