Slacker Portable

PC Magazine
5 March 2008
  • Conclusion: Typically, a player with as many glitches as this one would get a lower rating, but the innovative Slacker Portable does a good job of letting you take customized Internet radio with you, and it helps you learn about your favorite artists and discover new music.
  • Pros: Refreshes music automatically via Wi-Fi. Huge screen for album art, artist bios. Can also store MP3s and WMAs. Ability to ban songs you hate.
  • Cons: Bulky for a PMP. Touchstrip control doesn't work well. Jumpy playback. No video or photo support.
