Summary: I received the docker as ordered from Amazon.com. I tried using the docker in various combinations of devices for out put. Normally, I am as easy grader on surveys. I was not really satisfied with sound produced through the docker at all,and have not used it since.
Summary: When I bought my Slacker G2 on sale directly from Slacker the dock was included at no extra cost. It works fine, but I stopped using it. Here is why. Every electronic gadget that I own (iPod Touch, BlackBerry Tour, Slacker G2) cannot be placed in a dock while it is in a case. That is standard.
Summary: Slacker.com is great, but these players are completely frustrating. Go to Slacker's G2 forums for an idea of the types of problems customers are having. Stick with the web service, or try using their mobile service.
Pros: Slacker is a great service, variety of music, sound is good, small size, Slacker support is pretty good (which is fortunate, because it seems everyone needs them at one time or another).
Cons: I have had nothing but problems since getting my G2. I had to return the first one due to an issue with the headphone jack (which apparently is VERY common), and the second one died completely after about a month. Slacker is pretty good about replacing defective units (though a refund is out of t...
Pros: Average sound quality. Nice features like artist info and lyrics.
Cons: I have had 2 so far, the original and a replacement. The lock up constantly, then die. I sent one in for warranty replacement in October. It is December now, and they say another 3 weeks before I get one back. To keep one of these running requires many hours of sending text messages back and fort...
Summary: I really like the concept of the Slacker radio. Slacker does a nice job selecting music for their stations. Being someone with eclectic tastes, it is nice to be able to create numerous stations. My issue is refreshing the player and the amount of time it takes to do a total refresh.
Summary: The G2 is my new best friend. I have bought two of these docks. The only reason I have not given it 5 stars is the price. I think $20 would be more in line for this. But I do love it! Since the first review was written, Slacker sent out a firmware update to the players.
Summary: The home dock has been a key missing accessories. Hopefully there will be a car dock as well. The home dock provides fix audio-out so this means that the volume must be controlled by the boombox, stereo or whatever you are using to listen.
