Summary: It's a good thing that I have plenty of USB ports in my house, because this thing crapped out within a month and a half of purchase. In hindsight I should have returned it right away because half the time it sparked when you plugged it in. We didn't use it more than 5-7 times all told. The blue "charging" LED light was really annoying, too.
Summary: Maybe everyone elses is great but mine has been nothing but a headache. First, let me tell you the great things...its beautiful, easy to use, you can delete right from the player, you can hook it up to any computer, you can add a micro SD card. The bad... it freezes up CONSTANTLY, each time I try to add more music it erases everything first and then I have to add it all over again. This MP3 has been a great lesson in the value of backing up your music.
Summary: This thing looks great but it has never worked like it should and I wish I had never purchased it. I upgraded from a Sansa 280 which I totally loved until one of the pins broke off where the charger connects. Every time I turn it on it sits on the "Sansa" start up for what seems like forever, then it says "updating database" for what seems like more than forever, then finally you can use it. I want to use my player when I turn it on and not half an hour later.
Summary: This can best be summed up that I returned it. I only had it for a few days and it would not turn back on. It would only get to the SanDisk screen and no further. I tried everything including talking on the telephone to both Rhapsody and SanDisk for hours. I upgraded from an e280 8 GB. I had that for about three years before I had the same problem. I just figured it was time to upgrade to a 16 GB anyway with over 4,000 songs.
Summary: I recently received a refurbished View as a birthday gift, charged it up, set it down a couple of days. When I picked it up I found it was dead. I charged it again, called Sansa about the issue and they agreed it was a bad battery after diagnosing the problem. They also told me the battery is not replaceable and after warranty you throw these units away.
Summary: I purchased this item based on past experience with Sandisk MP3 players. I've had two discontinued models each of which were priced well below the actual value I received from them. Both were retired after many years of use. Desperate to get another player I researched multiple manufacturers and selected the Sansa View 8GB solely based on its attributes (35 hours playing time, 8GB of storage, media card slot (for expansion), compatibility w/Windows Media Player, and the...
Summary: Buggy is not the word for this player. It looks sleek, sounds good, controls are nicely set up, but it just doesn't work. The casing does not fit together well. It's as if in an attempt to make it slimmer the wires inside were squashed down into place and thing quick glued while someone held it. There are actual gaps and ragged looking areas in the seam and bulge near the side controls.
Summary: you cannot bet the price of this item for 16GB.In regular store you can purchase for $200 & over. This is my second purchase of electronic products in overstock.first i purchased sansa 8gb but got the wrong model.2nd this 16 GB purchase for my husband,I like the features but the only complaint is:battery only last for an hour and it freeze sometimes when yuo scroll and look for a song titiles.has a "REBURB" on the back which really doesnt bother me at all.will return this...
