See lessThe entire SanDisk Sansa line of MP3 players is undoubtedly the leader in the best “bang for your buck category” and this is no different for the View considering its many features and large capacities. Over time you will see the View getting big discounts like seen with the e200; making this player even more attractive. There are a few trade-offs in firmware stability, screen, and build quality, so it may not be a winner for the more demanding consumer. The bottom... Read more
The View is the Fuze's bigger brother . An excellent product, we just wish it had more features. Read more
The bottom line: If you value features and price over a flashy interface and excellent sound quality, the SanDisk Sansa View digital media player is definitely worth a look. It's easy to use and offers a relatively large screen and a memory expansion option. Read more
SanDisk Sansa View review at LetsGoMobile : The Sansa View series is already the next generation of portable media players by SanDisk. Even at first sight, the SanDisk Sansa View looks sleek and neat; the device fits perfectly in my hand and has an expensive businesslike appearance. The SanDisk View is available in black. The front has a shiny coating and the back a rubber finishing touch. The thing that struck me straight away is the fact that the Sansa View has very... Read more

I bought this product because I like my Sana Fuze, so I decided to "upgrade" What a mistake! I had the 16 GB View and a 16 GB (sansa 16 GB Micro card). After that it would take 15 minutes to refresh every time I turned it on. And all that time it used a lot of battery power to do so. then it started Locking up on me skipping through songs and then it automatically deleted every thing on the Micro card and made it useless (Nothing else could be transfered on to the card).... I bought it to listen to music and Audible books. My older Sansa player wouldn't handle the Audible format. Only problem was trying to get the drivers for Vista loaded for MTP mode. After following the support faq and knowledge base items. Loaded the latest updates. Works most of the time but frequently need to change the USB mode to MSC. If your menu on the View doesn't doesn't have a Main Menu, select More > Settings/Options > System Settings > USB Mode go to Sansa... Read more
Unlike other players (iPod, Zune), you can often find this unit marked down well below the MSRP or the price of comparably sized players from other manufacturers. And its feature set is second to none. Admittedly the size a bit larger than an iPod nano, for example, but its a steal for the capacity and all the functionality that you get. Read more
Bought the unit new...16G black. It would play for a while then lock up. Wheel and buttons become inoperative. Eventually it would unlock only to lock again. Called support and was told to upgrade fw from version 1.3 to 1.3. In other words to reinstall the same version fw. No change in operation. Called again and was asked to format drive. No change in operation. Called again and finally got an RMA number and sent the unit back. Received a replacement which was fw... Read more
On paper, this a fantastic product. In practice, not so much. The design of the firmware is at best, terrible. It requires a firmware update in order to be recognized as a drive and to do many of the basics that basic archos products could do out of the box. The interface is finicky (I've had particular difficulty loading play lists onto it). It will not let you navigate the file structure from the device and there is no facility for bookmarking audiobooks (except for... Read more
