The sound quality is not as good as my old Rio player, nor is the battery life. Overall it works for what I need and it has the features I was looking for; AAA battery, easy to load from any of my computers and priced right. Overall pretty happy for a cheap, basic player. I wish that Rio had it together, but the build quality and reliability just weren't there compared to this Sandisk. Read more

This mp3 player is the best that I have had ever used. I first started with the one gigabyte m240, but felt the need to get a bigger (and smaller) player. The design worried me because it is big, and the shape is peculiar. It sits funny in the pocket and is not as discrete as say an iPod or Zune. So I ended up with a Zune for my upgrade. This was so cool; it played music as well as movies with an attractive 1.8 inch screen. The downfall was the battery life. Read more

    • -Uses AAA battery -Plays many formats of music (mp3, wma, etc.) -Lightweight -Best bang for your buck
    • -Shape -A bit bulky -Monotonous screen

I use this when traveling, even on my motorcycle. I value it for its simplicity of operation, reliability, and its AAA battery power - it's not teathered to a recharging wall-wart. The battery lasts a loooong time, and it has plenty of capacity for hours (days with WMA files) of listening. Highly recommended. Read more

I purchased this as a Christmas gift and had it shipped home where the family would be gathering for Christmas. When I arrived Dec. 23rd. and opened the package to wrap it for the next day, I was disapointed to see that the product package was in poor condition and was filthy dirty covered with a soot like dust. So I cleaned it off and wrapped the gift. Read more

Sandisk Sansa m250 5 It's a 2GB flash MP3/WMA player with fm tuner, stopwatch, voice recorder, 5-band EQ, and can be used as a flash drive. It runs on a single AAA battery which, for me, is more convenient than built-in rechargeable batteries that require you to locate a power source when they run out of juice. Read more

The SanDisk Sansa M250 comes in 1GB, 2GB as well as in 4GB. It includes a FM tuner, a digital player and a voice recorder. Even though this portable device is relatively light that is weighting in at about 80g it will leave your pocket with a large bulk. The SanDisk Sansa M250 comes with a carrying case, a USB cable, an armband and an earphone. The FM radio that it is equipped with comes with 20 pre-set channels. Therefore if you want to listen to something apart from the songs that you have stored in this device, then this is readily available.

The file formats that it supports are WMA-DRM, MP3, WMA and Audio. This incredible device comes with one AAA battery with about 19 hours of power. The voice recorder with its built-in microphone will come in handy for lectures. It will also come in handy for recording telephone numbers and addresses and in fact what ever else you may want to record. There is also a pre-set equaliser. They are classic, jazz, pop and rock. Another advantage to this product is that audio books are compatible with it. The LCD screen light could have been a little better, but the information it displays is relatively straightforward. Where the sound is concern, it is good quality. It takes a little while to transfer files though. It is also compatible with Windows Media Player 10. The drag and drop system is used here as well. The body is made in plastic material, and it is able to stand up against the daily bumps. This device is also flash base. The built in microphone is located at the bottom of it. The controls are easy to operate. Overall the SanDisk Sansa M250 is a good buy for its basic operation.

How do I get drivers? Does not work with my XP laptop, about 3.5 years old. Thanks!

    Answered by kbrozio 2009-01-01:

Try the SanDisk website, if it's not listed there then I would try emailing their support

    Answered by MissMary 2009-07-20:

It does not need drivers for Windows XP; the drivers are required for Windows 98. Try to connect it by using the USB cable provided and if it comes with a CD, install it by using the CD. You can find the drivers online.
