Sandisk Sansa Fuze+ Review

Anything but iPod
29 May 2011
  • Conclusion: The Fuze+ is not an easy player to judge objectively. On one hand, the design is good, possible storage capacity is excellent, menus are very nice looking and there are plenty of features for such a player. On the other hand. the controls are so beyond bad that it makes me want to cry. If you could rip out the touchpad on the Fuze+ and insert the scroll wheel from the original Fuze (and make the menus a bit faster) you’d have an excellent player.

  • Conclusion: The device also comes bundled with a bunch of Tiesto songs and videos. Personally, I’m not a fan of Tiesto but if you like his music, you’ve got an added incentive to buy this MP3 player.

SanDisk Sansa Fuze+

PC Magazine
6 March 2011
  • Conclusion: If you live outside the iTunes ecosystem, the Sansa Fuze+ offers better features than either the Apple iPod nano or the iPod shuffle and is priced to compete with both players.
  • Pros: Very reasonable price for capacity, performance. User interface features good-looking animated graphics. FM radio recording and voice recording. MicroSD slot for swappable content.
  • Cons: Slow reaction time from touch pad. Occasionally, controls don't respond to touch. Navigation can be tedious.

Sansa Fuze+ – Excellent value for money

etechreviews.net
21 October 2010
  • Excerpt: When it comes to music players, iPods are the first thing that would jump to your mind. The Apple iPod has ruined other MP3 player’s market share and there are also music phones which serve as good substitutes to stand alone MP3 players. Sansa has been in the MP3 player market for a while and they have made some really good MP3 players in the past. The best thing about their products is that they are really inexpensive and hence give great value for money.

SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ Review

Digitaltrends
1 October 2010
  • Conclusion: You can’t out-Apple Apple, and SanDisk hasn’t tried to. The Sansa Fuze+ stands on its own with a much larger screen, support for video playback, and outstanding value (you’ll pay only $89.99 for the 8GB Fuze+, versus $149.99 for the 8GB Nano). Our biggest hesitation before buying one would come from the touch controls, which aren’t a game ender but irked us enough that we might consider buying an older model with the click wheel intact, if we could find one on sale.
  • Pros: Sleek, lightweight design, Colorful, modern interface, Much cheaper than a comparable iPod Nano, 2.4-inch LCD screen, Expandable with microSD cards
  • Cons: Clumsy touch controls, Screen difficult to watch for long periods

MP4 Player Reviews
4 July 2011
  • Summary: SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ MP3/MP4 Player is a new addition to the brand in its series of media players. It has brought in changes in the design and the control system is designed unique which gives ease of operation. It has reached the position of recommendation for its sleek and thin styling and comes with invisible touch control. The loud music in this petite device is the best part for those music lovers.

SanDisk Sansa Fuze+ 8GB

What Hi-Fi?
30 May 2011
  • Excerpt: Larger than average, the Sandisk Fuze+ remains affordable and portable but offers a bit more screen – a 2.4in LCD – and a larger control area. The screen works nicely, with a bright, colourful interface and easy to read icons. The control system is less of a success. It’s a capacitive touchscreen like the latest generation of phones and tablets. Slide your finger around to move around the interface.
  • Pros: Big, colourful screen, smart design, nicely balanced sound
  • Cons: Occasionally frustrating touchscreen interface isn’t good enough

25 November 2010
  • Conclusion: Sandisk's latest update to the Fuze player sounds good but an awkward touch interface makes it a pale shadow of the previous model.
