Summary: I have downloaded new software to this player more times than I can count. It malfunctions again within days. I'm tired of hassling with it; the warranty has more than run out. I am so disgusted with this player, that my next player will absolutely NOT be from this company. If I could give it zero stars, I would. I wasted my money. Although I rated some attributes fairly high, such as appearance and ease of use, none of them matter at all if the player won't work.
Summary: This is the 3rd fuze I have bought. I also own 2 sansa clips and 1 view. EVERY SINGLE ONE is messed up in some way. One continued to drain the battery when it was off, one doesn't read the expansion chip correctly and doesn't refresh the files when the chip is pulled out, one won't read the chip at all, one will make the music skip while you are scrolling through songs at the same time, etc, etc, etc, on and on.
Summary: Just received one of these and it was completely sealed and looked to be brand new. The item was dated from 2008 and it shows. It will not hold a charge for more then a few minutes, plus this one is big to me........it's re manufactured!!! The unit had a bunch of music on it from a previous owner! That is just messed up. With my little time that I could play with it I was satisfied with it's build quality and size. Video? Forget it...
Summary: After having enjoyed a reliable three years of using the 4GB unit, I decided to upgrade to the 8GB. I had nothing but problems with it. Amazon.com offered outstanding customer service. I want to offer a kudos to them! This review is about the poor experiences I had with this unit. My first order, the unit just turned off without any notice. It was fully charged because I had charged it the night before. It had only been on for 3 hours.
Summary: This review is for the SanDisk Sansa Fuze 8GB I purchased for my son at Christmas 2009. Worked normally for nearly 3 months. It is no longer recognized by any of my computers (this is not a computer OS issue (tried XP, XP 64, Windows 7) -- it was recognized for the first 3 months. I read all the other reviews and issues people have attempted to work through, and I am wondering if it's worth the effort.
Summary: It's supposed to be easy to load a video into the Fuze...forget it! We're supposed to be able to drag the video (in any of a number of popular formats) into the provided Sansa Media Converter software, and then just drag and drop the converted video into the Fuze itself. That doesn't work. I called tech support and they told me it's a known problem and that my issue was escalated to a senior technician who would contact me in 24-48 hours.
The problems with this product read like my grocery list!

Summary: Personally, I very much enjoyed this product at first. It fit my budget, was big enough though it didn't have a huge amount of space, and played with good quality. But now that I've had it for about a year, there is no end to the problems that keep cropping up. First of all, the Fuze is NOT Mac/Windows compatible. What I mean by that is; say your friend has a Mac and some mp3s you like. So you plug in the Fuze, they download, and you can listen to them, yay.
