A Good Value

Raquel Thomas, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: I am very pleased with my mp3 player. Yes, it only holds 250 songs but thats more than enough for the average person, I think. The menu is easy to navigate and the device is very easy to use with Windows Media Player. My only issues are the headphones which do not stay in the ear.

Linux-compatible, inexpensive, expandable, but no ogg...

A. C. Bass, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: Okay. I bought this because it was inexpensive, had lots of features including a nice display, was small, and would work for travel without lugging cables. I believe the sound is very acceptable and I have no problem with the included headphones.

Great player, Poor Driver Software

B. Byers, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: I have had the SANSA Express MP3 for several weeks now and really like. It performs well and suits my needs, but I cannot get my late model Dell computer running XP Media Edition to recognize the player. My Dell laptop sees it fine but my desktop doesen't.

Died within minutes of synching

Greg, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: Well, plugged it into my USB and synched some random songs. Plugged in the headphones and tried to play it. It tried to play the first song and stalled. It powered off a couple minutes later. It's just dead now. Can't charge it or power it on. Taking it back to the retailer.

The perfect mp3 player?

D. Lessard, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: I just bought this player and can't say enough good things about it. Expandable memory and integrated USB connector is what attractred me, and rechargable USB powered battery. I had a Samsung YP-U2 series that has a similiar design but it lasted 3 weeks and wouldn't power up, it also had many...

I love this item, but there are a few things to work on...

James T. Adams, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: Sound quality is great, light weight, easy to use, but a few things to work on: 1) Drop the lanyard and instead include a case that has a belt clip on it. 2) This information applies to accessing the device from the PC- If you want to have your files organized in folders, be sure to do it before you...

great at first

Dina, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: I purchased the sansa less than a month ago and was really happy with the value. For its price, it really is a great player. But it only lasted a month. Then it just stopped turning on/charging. I should be able to exchange it, but still, this was very disappointing.

Not bad, if you're a windows user... okay otherwise

FlyGirl, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: If you use WMP and use it to sync with the Sansa Express, this is a nice device. You can create playlists and organize files nicely. But... If you're using the SE as a USB drive under any other OS, or just don't want to use WMP, it's a pain in the neck --- the Express ignores any directory structure...

Tragically flawed

M., Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: This product has two major flaws. Flaw #1: Flimsy design. Flaw #2: Poor customer support. I bought the player about two months ago, and was fairly happy with it. The fact that it can only be charged via USB was a bit irritating, and the interface was somewhat confusing at first, but it seemed like a...

Great buy

M. A. Mason, Amazon
29 October 2007
  • Summary: I have the same problem with this product, it keeps shutting off. When I'm trying to burn calories, running on a treadmill, the last thing I want to do is restart a sad MP3 player. I'm sorry I bought this Sansa express.
