Summary: I received this product on September 2, 2014 and it worked great has all the features I wanted. It stopped working completely on November 12, 2014. I'm definitely not pleased with how short the life span of this product was.
Summary: This device seems to function reasonably well with internal memory only. However, inserting an SD card causes no end of grief. Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't and I spend more time trying to reboot it than I do actually using it. I purchased this unit for two reasons: (1) louder output than most--since I use it mostly as auxillary input on my boat, and never with headphones, and (2) the ability to use an SD card expansion.
Summary: Its a great player but I used it maybe 10 times and it just quit yesterday and won't charge or power up. Please don't waste your time ordering a refurbished one. This company has some serious problems.
Sometimes you get burned on a refurbished product.

Summary: I'll usually buy a refurbished product if the price is around half as much as the original or if the company that does the refurb is reputable and provides a warranty. This one may have been bad luck, as the product randomly died a week after the warranty expired. When I bought it, it was only $20 and since it was a manufacturer refurb, I figured I would take a shot.
Summary: I bought this refurbished mp3 player a few months ago and didn't open and use it for a few months. Mistake. During the initial music loading process, it went into a music refresh cycle which lasted several hours before I turned it off. Now after repeated attempts, it turns on and freezes. It is not recognized by several different computers I tried and so I can't reinstall the firmware. I went online and tried all of the suggested fixes.
