Summary: I sat down and plugged it in like the instructions said. Loaded up a ton of songs (About 3 hours for about 100 songs) Plugged it in (Headphones it came with worked poorly) Bought SkullCandy headphones. (Found out it wasn't the headphones.)You have to hold it 'just so' to get it too work. Taking it back to the store today. It was a gift from my husband, not sure how that matters but I am required to say so in order to leave a comment.
Pros: Accurate Controls, Compact, Easy To Set Up
Cons: Headphone Jack Is Loose, Not Durable, Nothing But Static, Only 1 Channel For Radio, Poor Reception
Summary: This doesn't have a locking control that slides & stays locked like previous models. The power button is on the top, turning the unit on/off by holding the button down. To lock the player so unintended pressing doesn't change the playback mode, you press the power button briefly. The problem with this is if you accidentally touch that button, the unit unlocks & the controls are active again & the next touch of any control will cease your playback.
Pros: Holds a decent amount of music. Compact and usually easy to use.
Cons: I've owned this unit for 6 months and 5 days. I use it once a week for a 3-4 hour period, then a 1-2 hour break, then another 3-4 hour period. Today it decided to cease all functioning in mid-stride. I did not touch it or bump it. I've never dropped the unit. It just died. I'm really not happy at all about now having to replace this & go through all the effort I made to put the entertainment I wanted to take with me onto a new unit. I'll have to search, convert, tag, ...
Summary: I bought this product a week ago and I am going to return it. The navigation system is not very user friendly and doesn't keep my songs organized into folders. It froze up the second day I had it and I couldn't even turn it off. The battery is not staying charged so I can only use it for a few minutes before it dies. Terrible product- buy something else!
