Summary: Overall good player for price. Nothing spectacular but has utility. That said, I think I would go for one that powered via USB next time. Also, I had no issue deleting any of the music that originally came with the player.
Pros: I bought this for working out so basically wanted something cheap in the event it met an untimely end. So far does the job rather well given the price...
Cons: ...however, the volume is too quiet. Also, I am not sure about 15 hours on the battery life. Could be my batteries. In addition, some of the buttons would do better as buttons and not a disk that sometimes pauses when you want to skip forward.
Cons: The first time i used this item (more than a month after i bought it) it froze on the Sandisk screen after i dragged some mp3s over to it. So now it's junk and Sandisk tech support for "legacy" devices is email only. So far i've send several emails with no response. It's been 2 weeks. Maybe if yo...
Summary: WHy does everybody have to pretend like there is a problem with everything in the reviews on this site?
Pros: This thing is more than fine for the price. you are buying an MP3 player. NOT A PORTABLE RADIO OR A VIDEO PLAYER. it plays MP3s fine, who cares about support for anything else, thats not what you bought.
Cons: none really, i bought one for myself and one for a gift.
Summary: I bought the Sansa c140 not even thinking about the battery life. The battery (AAA Energizer Alkaline) last about one morning (4-5 hours) when using the FM. I have to admit I haven't even used the MP3 portion of this unit yet, I bought it for the FM.
Summary: Newegg kindly sent me a replacement unit that has the same problems as the first one. I am now in contact with Sandisk to see if I just have bad firmware that prevents me from having any kind of opening menu to select functions from.
Pros: Price was good.
Cons: Where to start?. . .There is no opening menu, only the ability to play music on both units I got from Newegg. There are no radio or recording options to select from. The prerecorded music came off easily for me via a proprietary USB cable (don't dare lose it).
Summary: I've had 1 sandisk mp3 player before this and man that thing is awesome lived through everthing and still works, just wanted to upgrade to a higher capacity. not sure if i would go with sandisk again. very unfortunate
Pros: Looks Nice........
Cons: 1st day i had it "no space for db please delete 4mb" yet there is nothing on it. can not trasfer anything too it either. this is a common issue with this player. you've been warned.
Pros: Uploads songs easily in Windows Explorer. No need for any driver - Windows automatically installed software for the player. LCD turns off automatically after a few seconds. AAA battery (no need for charger). Easy and understandable menu. Best for a price.
Cons: Not so good for photos altough it wasn't built for it.
