The BEST for gym use
20 August 2006
Summary: I bought this for $30 at a pawn shop as an impulse buy. I wanted something for the gym and didn't want to pay hundreds to look like every other iPod drone out there. I knew that I would eventually drop it and bang it around so the price was right for something that I would inevitably break. That was a year ago. This thing is still going strong. It's a tough little sucker. I dropped it while running one day on asphalt.
Summary: I wanted an MP3 player, but the best surprise about this particular model was what a fantastically good FM radio it turned out to be. The second unexpected attribute was that it survived an entire machine wash cycle in the pocket of my shorts, and even a full cycle in the dryer (low heat), and still works perfectly. I was positive I had just ruined it - but no. It's not advertised as water resistant, but seems to be.
Summary: I am computer-stupid. But WOO HOO! I figured this MP3 player out all by myself. I read the entire manual first, before I even sat down at the computer. I highlighted a song in the song list on my computer. Clicked "Copy this file" and copied it to the new E drive that showed up when I plugged the player into my computer. One by one, I put them all in and it worked! The only thing I needed the enclosed disk for was a few more detailed instructions.
Summary: I have been extremely satisfied with this player. If you are reading this review, BUY IT. It looks great, plays great, and has longer battery life than the IPod shuffle. A few minor gripes: a) Occasionally when I am uploading files from my computer to the Sandisk, it freezes up my computer. But it's okay if I just pull the player and then plug it back in.
Summary: I had an old Rio 128 MB Player, so I needed something bigger to hold more songs. I also need an FM tuner at the gym so I can watch the TV when on the cardio machines. There are some good things about this player, some bad. Will just list them below. GOOD: - Size is nice, not too small. - Sound is pretty nice for the mp3 files, no problems there. - File transfer from PC was easy with the USB cable and windows explorer.
Summary: This unit is great for working out as it is solid state (no moving parts). Just what I needed. I was worried that it would be frustrating connecting it to my pc, and downloading. That actually was my biggest concern because Iam not the savyiest tech. wizard!! But since I already use Jukebox for music it was just too easy. I actually did better when I didnt use the directions as they are a bit much.
Summary: Ok, the good news is that I only paid $65 for it and increased my capacity (versus my old Nomad) by a factor of 16--and now I have FM radio as well. It is very small and light and has a decent display. It is crammed with features including a graphic equalizer, several repeat modes including A-B and shuffle. I haven't used the voice recorder yet (doubt ever will), so I can't comment on that. The sound is very good.
Summary: I decided to buy the Sandisk 512MB flash mp3 player after reading the reviews of other buyers on amazon and I'm glad !!! Although the Sandisk blue is not as sleek as the iPod shuffle, it has way more functionality (mp3, radio and voice recorder) for a lesser price. My roommate got himself an iPod shuffle and had to install the iTunes software just to transfer songs to the device...how pathetic is that !!!
Very Good Player considering size, weight and price

Summary: Hello folks, I got my Sandisk 512 MB Digital audio player. I have been very impressed by a lot of features and there are a couple of small annoyances. The listed things are in comparisn to similar players available in the market. Listed as follows: 1. Very light weight. 2. Very Good battery life. 3. Very good FF and RW functions. Contrary to what has been written in some reviews here the FF and RW is pretty fast. The FF and RW are both about 15x approximately.
Pros: size, menu, ease of use, FM tuner, included arm band and plastic case, Light, small, cheap price, MP3 and WMA, FM Radio, Voice Recorder, Analog Stick thing, USB Cable, Software, Earbuds , Armband (all in box), Bright screen, AAA battery
Cons: menus, sound quality only average, Hard to use, bad manual, Can't delete recordings on the player, Too much on the Audio Player screen
