Almost perfect.

  • Summary: I bought this mp3 player as a replacement. I had bought the same exact kind at a Wal-Mart about a year and a half ago but it was stolen out of my car. When I searched for it on Amazon, I was ecstatic when I saw the low price I could pay for a refurbished version of what I had before. One flaw is that the screen is not securely attached to the base so it is possible that it could pop off. However, this has only happened once and I've been using it pretty much every day.

  • Summary: I got this MP3 Player before my iPod Touch 2nd Gen. This actually is a really good MP3. Although sometimes the touch response is off by couple of seconds. But it has one of the best sound quality because it has DNSE which comes with many Samsung MP3's, also it has a built in FM radio, its Bluetooth Capable, also you can choose to play the song at a speed you want to play it at. So you can choose to extremely fast or really slow.

  • Summary: the p2 is an amazing product, and samsung really did a great job making this product, because almost everything about it makes it better than its competition (itouch.) +pros -excellent sound quality and EQ.- the p2 has phenominal sound quality when compared to other mp3 players, and the ipod especailly. it sounds great without eq as it is, but there is 10 preset sounds in the menu, and mydNSE, which is custom eq you set up yourself.

Samsung YP-P2 - Possible iPod Beater?

kirstyraw..., Ciao
2 May 2011
  • Excerpt: I bought one of these around 2.5 years ago from play.com for around £79.99, considerably cheaper than the iPod. I bought it mainly for the soul destroying 25 mile trip to and from work. I wanted something that allowed me to listen to music / podcasts, watch videos as well as having bluetooth connectivity and a touchscreen; luckily this little device had all of those. There are no buttons on the front of the device just a very generous 3 inch touchscreen.
  • Pros: Bluetooth connectivity, quality touchscreen
  • Cons: None as yet

A great device to rival the Ipod.

  • Excerpt: I bought my 'P2' about 2 years ago now. I still use it 5 days a week at work, and so it is built to last. Obviously the main competition comes from Apple, but I wanted something different and this Samsung is a very useable alternative. I paid around £100, but they are now cheaper than the Ipod and so I would imagine they are ever becoming a much more attractive option. There are no buttons on the face, it is entirely touch screen.

  • Excerpt: as an owner of the samsung yp-p2 i can honestly say it has to be one of the best mp3/mp4 players on the market. what with its modern, blue/black, yet easy to use interface beginners as well as dedicated tech-heads will find it easy to understand. value for money is also a phrase that comes to mind. i doubt anybody would be able to find a similar spec device for the same price.

  • Excerpt: The Samsung YP-P2, was originally seen as a rival to the iPod touch; this defiantly isn't the case. Samsung in their YP-P2 have been very original and creative in some aspects but, in others just 'hopped-on' the general modern interface bandwagon. The main advantages of the YP-P2 are it's large hard disk capacity, ability to play very high quality video's effortlessly with an outstanding frame rate and it's fantastic battery life even after playing movies or listening to...

  • Excerpt: f your looking for a media player that does it all (music, video, photo, text reader, and personal file storage) your looking at the right product, and it is also very affordable. Much to the simular design of the ipod touch, this allows you full control over what you do entirely through touch screen and also has volume control and play/pause/hold feature button to the side of the player.
