Summary: I purchased the unit second hand and had difficulty at first with it as it had to have the firmware re-run. Window Media Player 10 and 11 would not work and I wanted my music, not Napster music on the player. Samsung were of no help. I found that by trial and error as well as looking at the reviews here that if I look at the player in Windows File Explorer with hidden files/folders showing, I could drag/drop from my files on the computer to the player.
Summary: Bought this used hoping to get a deal and I thought the $ was right. I like the style and its the perfect size, But the manuel is not as detailed as it should be and the directions on the Samsung website dont seem to do much good. The videos on the website go way too fast for a average (at best) person that understands electronics to get any use out of. You have to use Samsungs own software for much of any features available.
Summary: Let me start this by saying this is and IDEAL device for bussiness people. This hold your music and pictures, data etc. Where this really shines is the Sound Quality If you have proper speakers this and the ipod nano 4g there is no comparison this blow the ipod out of the water this is clearly the winner. It feels like you have a 5.1 surround system when you only have 2 speakers.
Summary: I liked while it worked but after 4 days it quit on me, after this problem I began having trouble booting the unit and a message ( device can´t HDD ), and then just died. I won´t buy it again.
Summary: I like the brand of the mp3 player. I like the shape, and how easy it is to store in and clip onto your pocket. I like the amount of space I have to store music even though I need more space now. The mp3 player works, and sounds great. I don't like the fact that the makers of the product take up some space (not much space, but enough space) from the gigs you have to store other needed programs on the mp3 player.
Summary: This device is horrible. The fireware craps out everyother day and needs to be reloaded. and the firmware upgrade on samsung's website does nothing. i had to find a working firmware upgrade on a message board to even get the player working. then after a week, the HDD died and the player becomes useless. the only way to fix it is send it samsung and have it repaired or replaced. Samsung tech support is almost as useless as the player itself.
Summary: Pros: Nice looking. Small size. Color Screen. Line-In and Microphone Recording. Decent Capacity for the price. Cons: Hard Drive Failure. Overheats when charging. Non-Standard Sync/Charge Cable. Summary: I bought a used Samsung YH-820 off of eBay for fairly cheap. The unit worked when I received it, so it was sold in good faith. However, not even two weeks after I bought it, I began having trouble booting the unit.
Summary: It looks like some reviewers have had problems with the product. I originally purchased the product at Target and had great luck it played real well and no freeze ups or any thing else like that. The only little drawback was that it does take a while to load but not that long for me. I have used the voice recorder with the cord and got excellent results, as good as CD quality. Never got to use the picture function because I didn't purchase it for that function.
