Summary: Great MP3 player, I wish Samsung would not have discontinued this item. The one I bought works ok. Sometimes it locks up but i did by it used. Overall, I'm satisified with my Samsung S3 4 GB Slim Portable Media Player.
Summary: I got this Samsung S3 to replace one I dropped and cracked. They are identical models, the (seemingly) only difference being color. The reason I wanted it was for the FM Recorder, which I use regularly, and which are hard to come by. The problem is, whenever I plug the new S3 into the speak unit and record, over time the FM signal begins to fade and become staticky. This is a problem I didn't have with the one I cracked. The unit on a whole is fantastic.
Summary: I put all stars for portability because duh, it is portable, it fits in your hand. I got this because my last MP3 player was a samsung and it lasted a very long time and I loved it. This one still works, but it has become my back up. I did not care for the touch screen aspect of the device. Since different songs can come through a mp3 player either high or low, sometimes you need to adjust the volume and with the touch screen on this device can make it difficult.
Excerpt: A great budget and first-time mp3 player . It performs great for it’s low price of $49.99. The sound quality of the system combined with the high-quality headphones packaged with it, is truly golden. The player has two sample tracks and a 3D animated video pre-packaged with it. One track ,Music Space, showcases the systems sound capabilities. It has many sounds such as airplane propellers which make you believe that the airplane is right next to you.
Summary: The S3 itself is a lovely little device, playing a decent number of AV formats with a great sound and video quality. The screen is on the small side, but since I bought it primarily as an mp3 player, I don't mind that at all. The FM radio is great and easy to use, and i like the idea of datacasts (aka podcasts) a lot. It even came with a few games! The problem is EmoDio. I cannot think of a time since I had Windows 95 as my OS that a program has crashed so many times.
Summary: I've had this player for a couple of months now and I love it. I was hesitant to buy it at first because I thought I would hate the touch controls but they're actually fun to use. I bought a Sansa e260 before this but returned it because there were too many technical problems and it was just a hassle to figure out. The Samsung S3 worked on the first try and is very easy to use. It looks stylish, feels lightweight but durable, has great sound, and is fun and easy to use.
Summary: This is an attractive, thin mp3 player that has great sound. It is a crashing disappointment, however, because it requires the worst software I have ever encountered. Emodio is a failure as it executes, and has the least helpful screen guidance that I have ever worked with. Using hardware that meets or exceeds the requirements, it consistently freezes after transferring the first few seconds of the first song of an album.
Summary: My daughter bought one of these with her own money. When I connected it to our computer, the it couldn't communicate with the MP3 player. I thought that I probably needed a driver for my computer but couldn't find the necessary driver anywhere. Further online research led me to discover that other people were having the same problem with no known resolution. I wouldn't take a chance on buying this MP3 player unless you don't mind returning things that don't work.
