Summary: Have a 10.1 inch acer A500 running ICS and two 7" HTC flyers. Received a partial gift card so decided to pick one of these up as an experiment. The 5" inch is big enough to read content that can take advantage of inherent sizing options. Am having fun with it. Will be retiring the 10 " tablet..
Pros: Great battery life so far Pictures and any images are very sharp Feels solid and elegant Runs everything I have thrown at it flawlessly Great network connectivity, and fast Uses standard micro USB for data and charge Good media player, music and video Big screen, but small footprint
Cons: Upgrade likely limited by .5 GB Ram Not too many accessory options available (aesthetics and protection)
Summary: This thing rocks, only wish it was a little faster so it could keep up as tech changes. it does its job well though, here is what i use it for. 1. pandora the kids to sleep 2. wifi device for around the house 3. gps- didnt realize it works as a gps until after purchasing 4. games work pretty good 5.
Summary: I traded in my PSP for one of these to play games and watch movies. I would have went for an I pod touch but their screen size (3.5") is just to small and hard on my eyes. I am glad I took the 5.0 over the 4.0.
Summary: I think the FM radio problem occurs because it uses the headphone cable as the FM antenna...and there doesn't seem to be a way to direct output to the speakers when the cable is attached. Maybe there's an app for that? Riot Outfitters makes a case specifically for the Samsung 5" player.
Pros: Seems to work well
Cons: A bit of a learning curve with Android. Can't get FM through the speakers
Summary: Does some one know where i can pick up a case for it? So far no luck.. most of the stuff is on e bay,, thats generic TPU case and takes a life time to ship since its coming from Hong Kong..... Thanks in advance!
Pros: -Android os is a nice change from Apple OS - Nice large display - Can easily read e-books on it - great battery life
Cons: - not much Accessories - lower res then itouch but makes up for it with its OS and plenty of free apps on the market. -Awkward to carry.. -camera is so so...
Summary: The unit itself came in a nice box, that is reminiscent of the box for the iPhone 4. It has a top piece that slides off of the rest of the box, with the unit on top, and then all of the associated items are beneath it.
