Best for Wi-Fi urban setting no worries about getting your phone stolen

Summary: I have an earlier version of this player, the YP-G1 and I wanted an android player with a bigger screen. The transition to this player was a snap, battery life is good, screen is generous, sound is great. The only thing I could wish for is IceCreamSandwich!
Summary: I purchased this player for my son and it is only 3months old. admittedly it is a fully refurbished model but i have had many complications with it connecting to wifi. it will no longer connect to wifi and i cannot access the play store as it won't accept my password. my son is very unhappy as it doesn't function the way he needs it to, to play games and download new games and music. does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this problem.
Great tablet/music and video player. A worthy replacement for an old iPod.

Summary: This was my fourth Galaxy Player. I started with a 3.6" to replace my aging iPod. Next I bought my wife a 50 (5") for nursing school to carry her digital textbooks. Both worked and still work great. Next I bought another 3.6" to use at the office to check wireless connections and serve as a desktop player. Then I bought this one to replace my original 3.6" that has been re-purposed to play videos for my 2 year old son.
Summary: I purchased this for my 10 year old daughter as she was asking for a ipod. As I explained the features of the two compared, she agreed to purchase the Samsung Galaxy Player. She is very satisfied with this product. The audio is loud and clear, the camera does an amazing job, connectivity, features, and UI far exceed the ipod according to a 10 year old girl.
Summary: This is a really nice piece of tech for someone looking to do what a smart phone does without the data plan. You can't make calls, but you can do everything else, and if you're in range of an accessible wifi connection, you can stay connected for nothing. Apps make it possible to do almost anything - this machine will even emulate playstation 1 roms. Videos look rather crisp on the 5'' touchscreen. The camera isn't amazing but it isn't bad either.
Summary: The apps available for texting has allowed my son to use this player as his "phone". He does have to have a wifi signal in order to use those features but it works out perfectly because, just about everywhere we go there's wifi available!
Great Christmas present for all ages ! they will love this player!

Summary: I have bought 4 of these already. my first one was a big hit with my grandchild so much I had to buy 3 more ! I was a little Worried because it said refurbished and they have also discontinued this product. even though all of this I have had 100 percent success rate with all four . Another reason I wanted to get these is because all four of my grandchildren have kindles and were wanting iPods .
Summary: Why would any one go with an i pod is beyond me. This player is bigger in screen size, cheaper, apps 100 free, you don't get screwed by Apple overcharging for anything you want, battery life out does the i pod. All these points make a normal person choose this device over the i pod. The only reason people choose apple phones or I pods is the fact people choose name brand cloths. STATUS.
